Today I went out and got my hair cut and highlighted. I haven't had it cut in quite some time. I actually went to a real stylist and not the local 7 dollar school where you have students working on you. The reason? To celebrate.
The scale finally moved. I went down 5lbs this week which brought me where I've been wanting to be for a LONG time. I finally hit the 100pound loss mark. I've been siting at 90-95lbs loss for quite a while and just not able to lose that last 5-10 lbs to make to 100, but I finally got there. I still have 100 more to go to get to my goal, but I am half way there now, and feeling so much better than I did. I've gone from a size 34 womens pants to a size 20 womens pants. A size 4X womens shirt to a 1X womens shirt being slightly loose.
But, more important than the clothes fitting differently is that I feel so much healthier. I may not have the perfect diabetes diet, I'm not convinced there is a perfect diabetes diet. I do have the perfect diabetes diet for me.
If there is anyone who doesn't think it can be done, believe me it can !!! It takes perseverence and will power. (and good soups along the way)

You hit the nail on the head when you said it's the perfect diet for you. That is where we all want to be...at that great place. I am so happy for you and I bet you are just showing off that new do. I have about 20 more to go to join your 100 club. I can't wait!

Hi Heidi,
CONGRADULATIONS, GIRL !!!!!!!!!!! 100lbs…whow …you have every right to be proud of yourself. You don't need to explain your diet to anyone it works for you and that's what counts. Your loss in cloths size is amazing too. I'm very proud for you. As a weight looser as well I know the determination it takes. The next 100 will just fall off.
You'll see…again CONGRADULATIONS, way to go girl…Hugs, VL

Congratulations!!!! I am so proud of you and so happy for you. 100 pounds is no small accomplishment! You say you have 100 pounds to go? Well, you've already done that so you know you can do it again! I'm glad you rewarded yourself with a new haircut to go with the new clothing size and body.

I'm with you on there not being a perfect diabetes diet. I think it varies according to the individual. I keep telling myself that I will stop testing so much when I stop experimenting with my diet. The problem is I never stop experimenting.

Congrats again! You go girl!!!
