I am unable to respond to anyone who responded to the discussion I started on addictions in any other way for some reason that I understand. I no longer get email notices either. Can anyone help?

About addiction and the brain. One can also create good habits the same way. Just do the desired habit over and over, and pretty soon you do it with out much effort. We sometimes call it self discipline. Self discipline is just good habits created the same way as addictions, making connections in the brain by repeating the action. Anyone can do it!

I would suggest checking your email spam folder just to make sure it hasn't started dumping the alert emails into it. You might also check the settings under your profile picture at the top right of this website. However, there might be a bug with the website - gotta love technology! Keeps us on our toes :)

I received an email about your discussion and when I go to it it says there are two replies, but the only one that shows is the one I put on here yesterday. Is this website having issues? There has been more than a couple instances that I've gotten emails saying someone has replied to my post, but when I go there their name is nowhere to be found. Really strange.

I haven't been receiving email notices either. I thought it was just me, or that there hadn't been any new discussions, etc. I've heard that it takes 28 days for your system to adjust to a new habit. I've been eating low carb now for about 5 weeks and I can honestly say I haven't missed the carbs at all. Even made Zuchini noodles the other night and loved them. Didn't miss the regular noodles at all. Oh, and according to my scales, I have now lost a total of 10 lbs. Still haven't been able to get my BG to the Normal range. Fasting still runs between 135 & 149. Any suggestions as to what I should eat before bed?

Don't know if this will get through. Nothing but a discussion seems to get through for me.
Congratulations on the 10 lb weight loss. You might try lowering you carbs more. When you have lost more weight,
that may take care of it too. The ins8ulin resistance will get better as you lose more weight.
