I have been off line for awhile this past year and had gone over board with my time off of Diabetes. Yes I know that is dumb but what do you expect from someone that has lived with this crap since 1974 and am tired of not doing as I please for so long. I got mad at my Husband this past Feb. and went over board so now I am back and it will be for good. I might not post daily but you will hear from me at least once a week or more as I have time. I have repacked up my Quilting Room and have a daughter and Grandson moved in with us for personal reasons. So my Quilting now is back on a table and over my Bed for my design wall. LOL I bought me a folding 6 ft. table that I use in the Front Room, my sewing machine is on one end and material all over the rest of it. I have finished my Sister's Queen size Log Cabin Quilt and tied it off as I am still learning to do free motion quilting I found me a book that is teaching me how to do it on a Home Sewing Machine so might be able to start doing it myself soon. I am not an artiest so it might be not so hot to begin with but hopefully it gets better as time goes by. LMBO I am looking forward to Spring so I can get back to my walking with Chloe my Beagle she turns 1 year old on Valentines Day. She is my best friend, does not talk back like the kids do, but when she gets mad at me she eats all kinds of stuff on me like my left shoe, a book I was reading that belongs to my older Sister, a tote that I had used yesterday and our q-tip container with the Q-tips in it. I am lacking in my Exercise program at this time and my Diet is starting to get back on track today.
Breakfast was 2 slices of Bacon, a cup of rice with milk and sugar very little. and a 32oz glass of ice water on my second one as I am writing this. Talk more later

Bill wanted Ice Cream got him 2 pails almost didn't fit in the Freezer LOL Packed with Zucchini and Meats. I have bags of sliced Zucchini and ground up also for my bread. Made a double batch this past week gave one loaf away ate a few muffins and sliced up the other loaf. only have enough for Bill''s lunch tomorrow. I have been sharing my meals with my dog not good for her as she is starting to get fat so I told her no more eating at the table with us she has to wait till we are done. LOL chewed up a book on me for my troubles.

It is auspicious of you to start back on your Diabetic way of life today so that tomorrow, Chloe's birthday and Valentine's Day will say, I love myself.
You might like to try my "easy" diet: NO WHITE. No sugar, no salt, no white rice (brown is ok), no white flour, no white noodles (spinach noodles ok), no white potatoes (sweet potatoes OK). That's the whole diet. Enjoy.

welcome back. It's hard sometimes when you get off the track to get back on, so glad you've made the step and we are here to support that. I like all the sewing and quilting your doing, I bought a sewing machine for myself and thought i'd take a quilting class, but haven't done it yet, but maybe will someday when i have the time. Best of luck.

I am one the wagon now too, and it feels great. Doing just what I want brings about too much guilt and I don't like feeling that way. When I am doing what's right, I feel better in so many different ways. So that is where I am at now. So I hope you guys will reach out and come on board, and if I start to fall off, I hope you will pull me back in. That's what I love about it here, you keep me honest and on my toes.

I know what you mean about getting off the D. wagon! lol. I do that at times and I have done it more often lately and need to lose just a little weight. I admire anyone who has the patience to sew anything. My mother and grandmother could sew very well and do almost any of it, knitting, tadding, (not sure if spelled right) crochet, and more. I wish I had learned from them especially from my grandmother before she passed away 23 years ago. My mother can no longer do it and I wish I had learned so that I could teach my daughter. I can get someone to teach me though. I can't get away with that much rice. different strokes for different folks. :-)
