Are you sleeping well? My morning glucose is always a lot higher if I don't sleep well. Other ideas here about bedtime snacking could help also. It does help me to have an appropriate snack before bed but I do have to be careful about it. If I don't sleep well though, the snack can have the opposite effect.

Howdy Papanna
It sounds to me like Sopie suggested Dawn Phenemenon. (always have trouble spelling that word)

When I was having that problem I asked my Dr (a GP) about it. He suggested I take my BG (blood glucose) before retiring for the night. If the reading was below 130 mg/dl I was to eat a snack. He suggested that I eat a square of graham cracker and put a teaspoon of pnut butter on it (others use a couple of apple slices with a tspoon of pnut butter on each). I followed his suggestions and it worked wonders for my fasting AM readings.

The carbs in the apple or graham square gets your tummy to wake up and digest the food there. The pnut butter is a protein which digests for quite a long time and feed nutrition into your bloodstream while you are sleeping, thereby avoiding the liver dump and giving you closer to normal BG levels upon awaking.

God's best to you

Hi, How many carbs are you eating for breakfast? maybe that could be the problem. But there is a condition called Dawn Pheomonia
(I know that isn't spelled correct) But this condition low numbers or normal numbers at night and a rise once your up. Look it up it may be whats happening to you. Don't be too discouraged, It takes time to get everything lined up.
