My wife and drink raw milk and have found we have a lot less digestive issues. Pasteurized, or cooked as I call it, not only gives us the gripes but also the trots. I can drink about 4 ounces and feel as if I have had a laxative. Raw milk does not affect me that way. I was wondering if anyone else has tried raw milk…

I do not drink milk at all, but until recently I had a bowl of cereal every day and used raw milk from a dear friends farm. Occasionally I would run out of her milk and go to the store and buy a quart of store milk and could definitely tell the difference. I'm not a fan of store milk at all. The raw milk has a flavor and well, everything about it is just much better. If I were a milk drinker that is what i would use for sure.

I wish I could get it. My granddaughter is allergic to cow's milk so my daughter bought some goats and they drink raw goat's milk. My granddaughter handles that just fine.

Have you tried any of the local community markets? My wife and I shop at the local famer's type markets in our area, Macon, GA. We also find locally grown vegetables and she is also a home made soap maker…

Howdy Chopstix
I drank raw milk as a child because I grew up on a dairy farm. Haven't had any since I moved away and my mom sold the cows a while ago.

It took a bit of getting used to drinking what passes for milk. I now don't drink milk at all as I have lactose intolerance.

One thing to consider is make sure the farmer has his entire herd tested for Brucelosis. for more info, see ~

God's best to you

I sometimes drank it as a child, but only because my mother knew the diary farmer who produced it personally. She would go to PA to visit relatives and come home with a cooler with some raw milk..Only enough for one day, because she was worried about spoilage…I haven't had any for years and wouldn't drink it unless I was 100% sure of the source and 100% sure of how it was stored…

We get ours at one of the local farmer's markets, Macon, GA, about every other week. It seems the older you get, almost 60, the more the body can't handle the foods it did in the teens and twenties…:-)
