The Super Bowl is this Sunday! What are you all doing to celebrate? I personally am from Seattle so you can probably guess who I'll be rooting for. I'm wondering though what everyone's strategy is for Super Bowl parties and football snacks. Do you limit yourself to one plate? Have a free for all? Bake special low-carb treats?

One thing that I like to do is bring a healthy option to parties so then I know I can personally eat something there. I also drink a ton of water. We created a slideshow last year for diabetic-friendly football snacks, check it out if you need some inspiration:

I'll not be watching the game but as a local store has Haas avocados on sale for 4 /$1.00 pretty sure I will be enjoying a variety of avocado "concoctions" this weekend

We don't watch football but when Nascar starts we sometimes have a small gathering. I usually have hot wings, cheeses, and veggies with ranch dip. Thinking I will bake some chicken so I can have that and veggies. I can munch on veggies without the dip.

I am not a football fan, but got invited to a superbowl party. I live in New England and everyone at this party is a Pats fan, so I decided to go for Seattle just so there was someone at the party rooting for them. LOL. I got a recipe off Facebook for Buffalo roasted cauliflower that I will be bringing along with blue cheese and ranch dressing to dip in. Very low carb, and something I can nibble on if there is nothing around for me, although I'm sure there will be a few snacks there I can eat. It should be fun. (Go New England)

We'll be munching on shrimp, Cheesy Stuffed Jalapenos and guacamole with homemade low carb tortilla chips. Maybe some veggies with spinach dip too.
