some of them infirmed me that sulfunal urea drugs for using long time it may be damages the kidney So use only metoformin. is it true I think metoformin tablets may cut the carb conternt in the food but not producing the Insulin Clarify

Thanks for given link It is useful one.Can u clarify sufunal ura drugs like glibizide glimipride gliclide etc how much time work in the body and similarily Metoformin ( Glucophage glycomate etc ) how much time work for one tablet Genrally for T2 patients Doctors advise 2 times early morning before food and night before food Further if metoformin may taken etc at afternoon after meals the liver dump may be cured

Actually Metformin (Glcophage) works with the liver to supposedly shut off the release if glucose in the bloodstream.

A new article from Diabetes in Control, puts it like this:

"Senior investigator, Fred Wondisford, M.D., who heads the metabolism division at Hopkins Children's, tells us that, '"Rather than an interpreter of insulin-liver communication, metformin takes over as the messenger itself…. Metformin actually mimics the action of CBP, the critical signaling protein involved in the communication between the liver and the pancreas that's necessary for maintaining glucose production by the liver and its suppression by insulin.'"
