I have beginning stage of diabetes. My A1c was 7.1. My fasting glucose 150. Now I am on metformin 500 mg once a day. Got me a matter, cut out a lot of carbs and started exercising 6 days a week. Plus this is my busy season in hospital so I'm running around a lot. My sugar rarly is above 125, I woke up once with BG of 67 even though I ate a bowel of shredded wheat before bed. I remember my father had this problem too with oral meds. So I have added some carbs but good ones so I'm not hungry all the time.
Everyone talks about getting their BG down and I'm trying to keep it up.

I have had a problem with "lows" or Hypos a lot of mid mornings, about 2 1/2 to 3 hours after I eat my breakfast. I find if I eat a small handful of seeds or nuts that will help and I don't drop. Your not the only one who has hypo's. But you may want to talk to your doc about lowering your medication. Best of health to you.

As far as hypos (lows) go, you are definitely not alone! My fiancee ("Valentine lady" on DC) has had several within the past few months. You can view the discussion she wrote on it and possible ways to combat it by going here ~ http://www.diabeticconnect.com/diabetes-discu...

You'll find that you're not so alone after all as a lot of folks struggle with this issue.

Praying you'll find a solution which works best for you
