A big shout out and a thank you to every one that replied to my post yesterday about my morning numbers…you made all the difference in the world…and got me thinking I need to be a little less hard on myself…I tried the protein snack thing before I went to bed…and I woke up at 115..a little lower ..not much…don't know if it worth forcing myself to eat when I am not hungry at bed time…but my numbers yesterday were awesome…after a breakfast of a yummy shake of unsweetened almond milk, cream, fresh berries and nuts my BG levels were 111…yay me…they stayed under 120 all day..and I did eat well…had my veggies at lunch and dinner..had my nuts…woke up a little higher than I would like this morning…and found myself smiling thinking about all of you and the help you gave yesterday…Have a blessed day!!!

So glad to hear you had a better day. Sometimes all it takes is a little supportive hug from a friend. We've all been there. Heidi

i just checked again jibber jabber. i'm referring to the page when i go from my facebook page to DC page which is all green across the top with some choices below the green. i found "message" which is how i got the message across in the first place but no 'discussions' like at the top of this page.

Hey Jibber Jabber, I don't know how to get into discussions from the DC home page. Thanks for writing to me so I have a way in. Can you tell me how? Anyone?

There is a discussion tab at the top of the screen…it has a drop window that allows you to choose to look at YOUR discussions..recent discussions…most popular ones…on the right had side of the screen..once you open up discussion there is a tab that says start a discussion (or something to that effect)…if you click on that you can begin your own new discussion…I hope that helps…your best bet is to just spend time playing on the site…clicking on everything..

Hi Sweetjoy, I'm fairly new to this site as well and am still having trouble getting around the site as well. :)

how do I befriend ones??

jayabee52 2015-01-16 12:27:41 -0600 Report

Howdy Maxie
to friend someone you click on their name or icon. That will take you to their profile. Down below the profile pic and screen name will be a blue rectanglle button "connect". Click that and you'll get a drop down box. Select the "Friend" option. Then you can click on the large green rectangle button which says add friend (or something similar), and then you have to wait till the other accepts your request.

I pray this has helped

what are you suppose to do? eat a protein snack before bedtime? what will that do?

jayabee52 2015-01-16 12:31:28 -0600 Report

This was to combat liver dumps that many with diabetes have. If you don't have a problem with high BG levels on fasting AM readings it is not ncessary to do that.

ha ha..the recipe is above…but I neglected to mention a pack of splenda..and well the nuts wont work unless you have a nutra bullet or similar mixer…it liquefies them…a lesser blender probably wouldn't even break them up…

I just got a new blender. I got a Ninja with the bullets. I have yet to make my homemade almond milk in it, but I bet it will rock it out. YUM

I have a Ninja…not a bullet ..but it's still the best blender I ever had. I like that the motor is on top and the double blades are the best ever for crushing ice. I see some yummy slushies in my future next summer.
