I'm new to the site and just would like you all to know me a little. I'm 51 years old and I'm a diabetic two and have nerve pain in both feet. Was doing very good about year ago, but insurance company decided not to pay for my meds. So I'm hit and miss on my insulin trying to make it last longer. So my numbers are bad. I have a lot of stress in life taking care of my parents in Electric wheelchairs, babysitting grandkids and taking care of husband who had a heart attack in 2005, ended being triple bypass and his heart only beats at 25% but he as done well it's been 10 years in April! So now you know a little about me. I look forward to make new friend that I may talk to or help me! Thanks again

Howdy Sports
Glad to see you here as this is the best place on the net (IMHO) to vent, find inspiration, and information. Ask any question here and you'll likely to get lots of answers.

God's best to you

Hi welcome…I don't understand an insurance company just deciding not to pay for your meds…how can this be???…With all the hoopla surrounding the affordable care act..(hmm don't get me started) would think that this couldn't happen anymore…Frankly I am angered every time I hear about things like this…I certainly hope things get better for you..hugs

Hi Sportsgrandma, welcome to DC. I'd like to recommend you talk to your doctor about getting in touch with your insulin manufacturer. Most have programs for people without insurance and low income to cover insulin costs. That may help you to get regulated on your insulin.
Stress will also cause your numbers to go high. Best of health to you and your family. Heidi
