I have neuropathy in both feet. Not only are my feet hurting but sometimes I get severe itching that just drives me crazy. Any suggestions in helping me deal with this?

I do take Gabapentin for the shooting pain and the burning and it seems to work. But for itching, no. Tonight I bought Curel ITCH DEFENSE. I'm going to see if this cream works. Wish me luck !

Hi calayx
I have neuropathy in both feet as well. Sometimes the burning can drive me to insanity. I've tried so many things including gabapentin from my doctor. Nothing seemed to help.

Since I'm learning more about my peoples traditional medicines, I met with our teacher. She wasn't sure but she said if I was willing to try a few things then we can keep track of what works. I tried frog leaf salve, willow, and finally diamond willow fungus salve. That does the trick. We combine that into a carrier oil with bee's wax. Not only does it help the neuropathy but also keeps my feet from becoming too dry which I've had all my life.

Do you have extremely dry skin as well? Being winter in a dry area, I have extremely dry skin as well as the neuropathy and have to keep slathering on the lotion. Just a suggestion, other than that I have no clue what would cause the itchy feet. Best of health. Heidi

I often use coconut oil on my feet to aleviate the dryness.

it appears like coconut oil is the "go to" thing lately. When I get my check on the first of feb and have some money I'll have to try to remember to buy some. Thanks James.
