First time being sick with the pump. Know what to do when I'm sick but wanted to know what other pumpers have noticed about being sick on the pump

Hi "notmaiden", I pump and have found that, as Type1Lou stated, when sick the blood glucose levels typically rise. While I don't change my basal program (though with a Medtronic its easy to do a temporary basal program), I either change the basal amount (e.g., 100% + x% over y hours) delivered at a given time or add a bolus after a reading. I use the CGM so its great to have a real-time readout of my glucose levels, so that I can react as needed.

Howdy Not
I am not a pumper so I have no words of wisdom for you there
I just wanted to pray that you will get over this sickness soon!

I've found that I needed to bump up my basal rates during illness to keep my BG's in range. Check with your doctor about this if you don't feel comfortable doing it…he/she can guide you by how much. Illness or infection usually requires more insulin than usual to stay in range. Hope you're feeling better soon!
