I don't know where y'all live, but if you live near a Big Lots store, they have recently started carrying some Bob's Red Mill products. They have a good buy on steel cut oats and a nice selection of the other flours and mixes. I also saw the powdered p nut butter there. Just as wanted to share.

Found a really good buy at the grocery today.. 30 ounce jar of coconut oil for 6.48. This is the lowest I have seen for a decent size jar. The brand is Louanna, so not some exotic hard to find brand. It is on the shelf the the rest of the oils.

This is awesome! It's always tough for me to justify $8 for a few cups of Bob's Red Mill almond flour…I just found out recently that Costco carries large quantities of healthy oils (olive, avocado, etc) and gluten free essentials (almond flour, flaxseed, chia seed) for pretty cheap. I'm glad you're a deal hunter like me!

Costco is WONDERFUL…I get huge jars of organic cold pressed coconut oil there for half the price I pay at Whole foods…I am new to the coconut oil thing..and the "sticker shock" nearly knocked me down right there in Whole Foods..but again Costco is a Godsend for many things…

The only Costco here is just farther away than I want to travel. I did go there once and liked what I saw,but until they build one closer, I'll be going to Sam's

Just came from there, they also have a mixed grain breakfast hot cereal blend…24 carbs per 1/3 cup serving. Does anyone have experience with this? Is this a good thing? Don't want to waste money if I can't use it.

I've never been a big Big Lots fan, but we have one locally I will go check it out this weekend if we do not get the big snow storm they predict, if so, it will be next week. Thanks for the info. Heidi

Our Big Lots in central Florida has had Bob's Red Mill for a while now. I've bought some of their Flaxseed Meal and their Shredded Unsweetened Coconut…if they have some of the Almond Meal/Flour, I'd buy that too. I also think that I saw some Bob's Red Mill products at a site where I've bought stuff…I'll check and edit my post if I find it is so.

I have been searching for tapioca flour. I can get it online, but I cannot seem to find it in a grocer. Any suggestions on where I should look. This reminded me that they have a Red Mill section....it might be there.

Tapioca flour is pretty high in carbs for a diabetic.

I just need a small amount for a cheese puff recipe I am trying out. I don't want to use the potato starch they call for. The alternative is tapioca.
