Morning trips to bathroom

Every morning and for a couple of hours after waking, I make many trips to the bathroom. I have had my kidneys checked and no problems. I usually have one cup of coffee and then drink water. Normal protein readings. No burning, itching, or pain. Just a lot of trips. The longer I am up the less trips I make. Anyone else have this problem?

Oh geeeze, I thought I was the only one who had the Pavlov effect. The minute my car turns up my driveway I am crossing my legs, in through the door and to heck with everything. Bathroom is the first stop ! LOL.
But as for morning, I go frequently, but it is because I drink a lot of coffee, way more than I should. I know I should cut back on it, but I just can't right yet.

Wow, before I was diagnosed with type 2 I had to get up many times to urinate, and stayed thirsty as well, but after I got it under control I was fine, but I still have to get up sometimes once around 2 or 3 am and then again once I get up around 7 am.

I figure everyone can use a little laugh now and again…so here I am to tell my deepest darkest secret..(.giggle)…if I am out and need to tinkle…I can hold it no problem…even if I have to hold it for an hour or more..but as soon as I put my key in the door all bets are off…there have been times where I have called ahead and told people that if they need the bathroom use the one upstairs because I will need the bathroom immediately upon entering the house…it is the funniest thing…and god forbid I have trouble opening the door!!!!

I have a Pavlov effect when I get out of the car at home. Even if I didn't have to go, I often have to run to the bathroom. It's nuts. Now that my numbers are getting better, it is a lot less of an issue.

Coffee can act as a diuretic. You may want to ask your doctor about that.

You may have overactive bladder. I get up 3 or 4 time per night to go,
but go very little each time. I have been that way for many years. It is not my blood sugar . I just get the urge even when my bladder is not full. Their is a drug
for it, but don't want the side effects. I rather just go and go!
