Since switching from a combo birth control pill to a progesterone only birth control pill, my BG numbers are consistently 10 mg higher each reading. I was diagnosed with prediabetes two weeks ago and am on glucophage and using diet and exercise to control my numbers. Has anyone had any experience with BC affecting their BG numbers?

Howdy Schwarz
Please describe what you are currently eating and what your BG numbers are like? it might have something to do with what you are eating.
As to why the change to the Progesterone only method (mini pill, implant, or injection?) WebMD had an article on this here ~ which shows the plusses and the downsides of each form ot this method of BC

I am a guy so I don't use medicine based BC. Neither did my wife when we were together. We used barrier methods (diaphragm for her or condom for me) and outside of being a little inconvenient, that method worked well for us and there were no side effects.

God's best to you and yours
