Since I started with pills (glizide)and had to go to insulin, how do you deal with always feeling hunger. It drives me nuts feeling like I have to eat and eat. This is my first time in support group and looking for ideas to deal. I am failing on my own my weight goes up and down like the blood sugars. Getting depressed, only thing I can do is sleep not to eat, but I have a family and house hold to take care of, and a mom to 10 year old. Just frustrated, Dr says lose weight and not eat as much, duh!!! Just always hungry. Yes told him that too. OK sorry for the ranting. Looking forward to some tips.

Lots of yummy green veggies and lots of H2O will keep your tummy feelling full. The others have great recommendations. I eat nuts when I'm hungry. Low carb diet is great, lots to eat. Best of health in 2015 HUGS, Heidi

In addition to Kimberly's great tips, recommendations to avoid feeling hungry include eating every 2-4 hours, drinking water with meals and snacks to help you feel more full, including protein with meals and snacks, and limiting eating to only one place in your home so that you're not reminded about food everywhere you go. ~Lynn @Glucerna
