I wanted a better idea of what my glucose levels were doing during the day. My doctor had told me I only needed to test once day. My morning levels have been running between 107-114 this week. Normally they are 94-100. BG when I got up this morning was 100. I was careful with my carb count all day as usual. 2 hours after lunch—113. 2 hours after dinner—114. Right now I'm a "happy camper."

Your glucose levels are right where I want to be. I have to test 4 times a day and I hate it. My fingers hurt. My new VerioQ meter is a pain because it has to be charged and then I either forget to charge it or if it is charging, I forget to take it with me. Much preferred my old Ultra meter that never had to charge but finally broke down after 10 years. Anyway, enough complaining, I still wish I had your BS results each day. Have a Happy Chanukah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanza, and Happy and Healthy New Year.

EXCELLENT NUMBERS Sweets! Please continue the good work!

(obviously you didn't follow what the Dr said and that, I think is to your benefit)

Normally, I try to do what the doctor says, but I can't fix what I don't know, so I decided I will just purchase more supplies on my own so that I know what works for me. Now I feel I can branch out a little with my diet—I will know quickly if I eat something that spikes my BG.

I like the way you're expanding on your doctor's recommendations and putting together a plan that is working so well for you. ~Lynn @Glucerna
