I found this on Air1's News page. It's a station I listen to for Christian music.

Thanks Nyu tor sharing.

I did note that this slideshow is keyed to the general public not to those of us who have diabetes. However the information is good as a reminder to us as well.

I've known for years that sugars was addicting. My best friend has an eating disorder and years ago gave up sugar and white flour and the changes in her behaviour were almost immediate. I just didn't know that I was addicted to those foods, It appears that I was. Maybe not in the same ways she was/is, but yes, I am, and they are just as unhealthy for me as they are for her. Thanks for that link, HUGS, Heidi

I love sugar, but I have been able to put my health ahead of my desire for sugar. So far, so good. I'm concerned that eating just a little bit will get me started on a sweets splurge.

That is how it works for me. I am best served to go cold turkey on any of my trigger foods. Sugar, Corn, and sometimes I just get into a chip binge. I try hard to keep those foods out of the house, so I don't do that "Just a little" game in my head. It never works for me. Others can do it, but I cannot.
