Howdy Accordionman
A couple of Drs ago (back in about 2005) my Dr asked me if I took a statin because my cholesterol was (in his words) "perfect" I told him no I have never taken a statin. It was curious, however when the next appointment came he wrote out a Rx for simvistatin. When I asked why he said it was "prophylactic".

I had not been on DC yet and just kind of accepted what he said. I filled Rxs for simvistatin for several years until I started reading about statins diminishing Co-Q 10 a necessary enzyme for proper muscle function and heart health. Eventually I became convinced that I needed the Co-Q 10 and so dropped the Statin. I have been without the statin for about 4 yrs and my good Chol is ideal and bad Chol is low. So far so good!

Praying for your improved health
