I just had a pretty scary part of the day today. My sugar went down to 68, and I was trying to sit down to eat my lunch. Someone did bring my tray for me. Then, I fell, but someone did catch me. My body did lay on the floor, but I didn't hit my head hard. I did not eat the snack that they had today, because it was an orange, and I am allergic to citrus. My sugar went up to 95 after I ate two packs of peanut butter crackers. I am glad I feel better now.

What a scary event for you! Perhaps you could get into the routine of always bringing snacks with you, just in case. I'm so glad you're OK. ~Lynn @Glucerna

hon, i am glad to hear that you are feeling better now. you really have to watch those lows. maybe you could test your bg more often? as soon as you feel a low coming on be sure to test and if low get sugar into you right away.

i use those diabetic glucose tablets when i am low. i take four and then wait 20 mins to test again. if my bg is up better i then take a little snack to keep my bg up higher again.

good luck hon. like i said maybe to avoid such a strong reaction to your lows try testing more often and as soon as you feel the least bit low be sure to test and get the sugar into you right away.

i am sorry you had to go thru this and i hope you have much better luck in the days ahead. you want to be strong through out the holidays.

all the best from Denise xo

We are all glad you are feeling better. For a 68, you might want to try something like some jelly or a hard candy. Crackers are good for after you get your levels back to where you feel safe.

Your title says Christmas Party Trouble. Did this happen at a party or at a party at work? It sounds like you had a great crew of people around you to help you though it. That was a blessing for sure.

Nyu-chan, I have been and will continue praying every day that you will receive your healing from God. My wife received an instant, miracle healing from God last week! She had extreme shortness of breath. Two other people and I prayed over her and she was instantly healed. Nothing is impossible with/for God. Mark 10:27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” Sending prayers your way…Tony in New Braunfels, TX
