I have strong feeling chasing me all the time.. Its goes back to about 12 years ago while I was working in Saudi Arabia.. There was a teacher working in the same place with me (department of education) .. In one vacation while he was coming back from Alexandria by car with his family.. He has diabetic and he forget his medicine and he was lazy to buy another one from any pharmacy.. He drive his care with his family in two days in about 2500 Klm.. Suddenly and before 35 klm from where we were live he has a sugar coma.. it makes him loss control on his car & he make an accident !!!!! He & his wife & three kids were died and only two children were surviving 9 years & 5 years boy & girl!!!!!
In that time I did not have any idea about diabetic & did not diagnosed yet by it …..

NOW I am thinking too much and I have that feeling each time I drive my car if I will get that one suddenly.. Also when I drive for long distances with my family or alone that GOD will save me from sugar coma in the road.

This question comes to my mind every day & minute!!!!!!! When it will happened!!!!!
And if I take care of every thing before I start my trip.. Shots & medications.. Nothing will not happened …. WHO KNOWS!!!!!!!

Hi Ali,

I am not sure there is much I can add to what the others have said. Their words and thoughts pretty much sum it up in my opinion :)

Please try to remember that someone' else's fate does not necessarily need to be your own. Especially if you are doing what you should, checking your levels. eating as you should and taking the medication as prescribed.

None of us know what the future holds for us. We can only live our lives the best we can. Do what we know and feel is right, and trust that God or whatever power we believe in will guide us. It is only human nature to worry about things beyond our control, and to even be afraid of what may happen. Try not to let it control your life. Do the best you can and hopefully things will be fine.

Sincerely,

Judi

What a tragedy! Really heartbreaking. I can understand how you would worry, having been so close to that situation. This is a good case for taking very good care of ourselves, isn't it? Nothing can give us total assurance, unfortunately. Even those who appear "well" today, may be dead within the next few minutes, hours, days, etc. We have to know our bodies and their limits as well as we can, of course, and be diligent about working with our doctors and taking control of our health.

Fear can be paralyzing, but it can also be an emotion that makes us do better. Take more precautions…do what we know we should be doing. Making sure we take our medications appropriately and that we monitor our BS readings often is paramount for those of us with diabetes.

God told us that there is nothing too large or too small to bring to him in prayer. Allow Him to provide the comfort and peace to live your life.

Hi Ali Eletre,

Fear is and emotion that sometimes take control of us and it plays with the one thing that the fear is based on. In other words: "The Thing That We Fear The Most Is What Will Come Upon US". As long as we trust God and do what we're suppose to do with medications, shots and yes our life style changes (diet) we should have a great chance of beating this thing. But we mustn't allow fear to over take us and I know that can be easier said then done, but along this journey we have to try nevetheless. Just know that we understand your concerns and then place all you trust and yes fears in the hands of God and He will guide you through this.

We all have moments that we think of the things that happen to us and then we begin to worry and even doubt, but God would never bring us to a thing without bringing us through it. You are in my prayers and continue to do all that you have been doing in your care.

Hugs and Kisses

Teresa

I am VERY sorry to hear this! All I can really say is that you'll have to find it within yourself to release SOME of the fear maybe where it does not overtake your life. Meanwhile do everything YOU can do for you and your family…like you said take medications and shots, etc. You are learning everyday I have noticed and take all that information and use to your best ability. I wish you and your family well, best wishes and happy holiday! Sheila
