Like I'd introduced myself in an earlier post, and let me repeat…I'm a 40 year old T2D w/ 9 years of uncontrolled blood sugar, complications of microalbuminuria diagnosed in July 2014. Today, I've got back home after meeting my diabetologist cum endocrinologist after discussing Dec 2014 test results.

July 2014: HbA1c = 9.9%, BMI = 34.3 (very similar results for last 9 years)
.
.
joined DC July 2014… got motivated to take control…
.
.
Dec 2014: HbA1c = 5.7%, BMI = 28.0

My doctor was extremely pleased with my progress and cut down some medications. My wife is even more thrilled!

I want to thank you all for helping me achieve these results. I'm sure I wouldn't have done this alone. I read the posts in DC everyday and learn a lot from them. I'm much more confident and feeling healthy now (physically, emotionally and spiritually)!

Now the next battle - sustain this motivation…and look forward to the DC community for the support!

Regards!

Congratulations! Diabetic Connect is wonderful, isn't it? I've learned so much here. I hope my next A1c result is every bit as good as yours. Keep up the great work!

I am so happy for the decrease in your test results. You are less than I am for A1c this month. You now have many new friends including me to talk to about anything related to Diabetes as well as anything else. Keep up the good work. We are proud of you and proud to be your DC friends.
