If my BG level drops below 100 I get all the symptoms of low BG. Does this happen to anyone else?

if you have had high blood sugars for a good while, your body kind of gets used to that and you feel low when you are not low. it can happen at that number though low is not really until you get under 70 I think

When I first started medication and for several months after, I frequently felt this way. My doctor said that my body was used to higher glucose levels and that as I got used to having lower glucose those feelings would go away. Gradually, they did. Before I understood this, it was pretty scary!

Like Kim that happened when I was first diagnosed 7 years ago. Now my blood sugar runs between 80 to 100. You body has to adjust to lower blood sugar.

You say your blood sugar drops below 100. How low does it go?

Kimfing, thank you for telling me that! My doc didn't really tell me anything and I am still very confused

I was dx april 2013 when my bs started coming down i did feel that way. The explanation i got was my blood sugar had been running high before dx and was used to it, so whn it got down to normal it felt low. Now i run between 80-100 and feel great my body adjusted to normal bs.
