I went to see my doctor on dec 3rd, and he told me I have a hurnia., then I asked him about my AC1 levels he told me they went down to 5.1 , so I asked him if I still needed to check myself, and he said every so often just for myself so I can see where I'm at, and that I'm staying in control.I was never so happy, because at least I can control one thing in my life., I have to many problems as it is with my cancer.

Great news on the A1c, good to get such a low number. When you do have your surgery, may I please suggest you might want to check your numbers a little more frequently while your recovering, especially on pain meds as the stress of the surgery and the pain meds might bring your numbers up a little bit, and you may need to adjust any diabetes meds you may be on. Good luck on your health. HUGS, Heidi

Congratulations on the A1c! I would love to get mine that low. So sorry about the hernia. Do you have to have surgery for it?
