I put pictures of green grass and flower beds on my profile if anyone needs a reminder of summer.
My bird feeder is there too. I took a picture of it out my window. In the picture if you enlarge it is
a groundhog, a grey squirrel, a black squirrel, a blue jay and other birds. When the cold Wisconsin winter gets to me, I look at pictures of my yard on my computer, it helps me get through the long winter. Grandma Rose

I am from south eastern Michigan, we get our share of snow but nothing like the western and northern sides of the state. It is so pretty to look at but not the greastest to drive in. Go Tigers and Lions!

What about go Green Bay Packers? You are only kitty corner across the lake and the state of Michigan. I call that Packer Country. The Lions and Tigers are animals. That is a joke. The Packers get their name from a local meat packer. I think that was in the 1920's or so. Just having fun, I am not even a football fan.

I change my computer screen to show winter. LOL...I live in Florida and I miss the seasons. Though this year may be an exception. I agree though, having a beautiful picture on your screen can help fight the winter blues. Specially this year, when winter has come so early.

I have to say, that this winter is one I am glad I am not up that way. Poor folks along the great lakes. I would be over winter already.

I could not live that far north. Like you I would be done with winter. The people in Buffalo, New York got hit hard and 13 people lost lives. Now they have to deal with flooding. We got snow here today but it was thick wet snow that didn't stick in the city. The western part of the state got about 4 inches. Can't live in that part of the state in the mountains, they get hit hard in the winter.

My dream is to move to Wyoming though. The snow where we want to go is not as nuts as the great lakes. I love the mountains and would endure the snow for that. But that is easy to say now...it's just a dream.

I tried to upload some winter photos to show the contrast with summer photos. I ended up putting one of them in place of my picture. Don't know how I did it or how to put my picture back. I am not trying to depress you all with that snow photo. Help.

I'm not overly fond of the bitter cold temperatures, but I love New England and the four seasons. I wouldn't leave here for anything. I love looking out my window and watching the deer graze in my backyard in the Winter as the snow is falling and I'm bundled in layers of blankets. I live comfortably in an apartment complex so I don't have to worry about much shoveling which makes life a bit easier for me. By Feb. I'm starting to think of the warmer temps of spring. Enjoy your summer pictures.

I love the seasons changing. When summer is over it is gone for the year and the changing trees of fall are beautiful. The bare limbs of trees covered in snow and ice are just as beautiful as are the budding of the trees in spring. This is why I don't have nature photos hanging on the walls in my house. I like looking out the window at the changes. Beautiful yard.

Maryland. I don't have flowers year round. Frost and snow kills them off. I have everything in Pots because I cannot stand having grass in my yard.

This year I planted a Canna Lily, and a few others. I love the Potato Vine. We planted it in a hanging basket and it was beautiful we also have potatoes in the pot now. Next year I am going to put pansies in with it. I go for bright flowers. love them.

I absolutely love flowers, I plant them in the ground as the pots dry out so fast when I forget to water. The ones that come back year after year are my favorites. Grandma Rose

You have a beautiful place there Rose.

I really don't like winter all that much anymore, that is why I have returned to Las Vegas NV to be near my son rather than moving back to Nw Ohio or staying with a former GF in Milwaukee. Winters are too cold and long there in the midwest.

At least the winters in LV are not quite so long nor are they as cold. It does get down around freezing occasionally but those occurances are few and short-lived when they do occur. We may even get some snow which sticks to the ground occasionally (it has happened twice in the 20 yrs I've been here) and is usually completely gone by the next day. If I really want to play in the snow, I can drive to Mt Charleston and drive back home when I am tired of it.

God's best to you Rose

We each have our preferences don't we. That is a good thing.
Speaking of snow, the rain we have and 40 degree temperature is going to turn to snow. Five to seven inches. It goes up every time I watch the weather. Last winter was so cold, a record, even those of who are hardy
had difficulty. It is starting out early this year too but you couldn't drag me off my property with a tow truck,. I never minded the winter as it gives me a break. My lawn is three acres of grass and then leaves to clean up, but I don't mind and love it in the summer which is short.
Everyone rushes to the warm areas and it gets so crowded and property so expensive. Here we have reasonable prices and everything a big city offers including the Green Bay Packers foot ball team, but just enough people to be interesting. I am not a football fan but it is interesting watching the fan atics. They just go crazy.

My son lives in California, San Francisco area. The weather is nice, but 5 days is all I can handle there when I visit. Too many people. I am a country girl.

I agree Rose … I'm a country boy … most of California is country (farm land and forests).
Sadly SF and LA are what most people think of when you say "California"

I don't drive when I go to California so I don't get out of the heavily populated areas. I need to
