Is anyone else suffering from both diseases? How are you dealing with this and what are you eating? Is there a food group for these?

Howdy Linda
I have an uncle and a cousin-in-law who suffer from Parkensonism. My cousin has a deep brain stimulator which has been implanted for about 1.5 yrs now. It seems to be working well for him. My uncle is not a candidate tor such surgery.

Do you know about this DBS surgery?

As the article shared by Gabby says there is no particular meal plan relating to Parkensonism, just a good healthy meal plan consisting of all the food groups. So for both conditions the diabetes friendly plan is the plan on which to go.

Praying for your healthier life

No. I have not heard about the surgery. So far it is just pills. I am sorry but I have not studied up on the disease. I guess I am in denial of it, but thanks for the information it helps. Linda

I do not have Parkinson, but I found this on www.WebMD.com that might help out with choosing foods. http://www.webmd.com/parkinsons-disease/guide/eating-right

What seems more like an issue would be medications. If Mefromin gives someone tummy issues combined with Parkinson medications...yikes! That would be very tricky to deal with.
