Well what can i say?, my writers block has come to an end finally! Had my 3 monthly review with diabetic nurse and ive lost nearly 2 stone (14kgs) and fasting blood test has shown that i am managing condition to best of ability so far. However the long term plan is to not become complacent in my approach to dealing with this condition. If anything through taking the appropriate advice the knowledge gained is that we all have a daily fight to not let diabeties beat us in our lives. Could go on like a self help manual, but i won't as thats boring and from whats been wriiten on web people embrace things differently, this inspires me to want to grow as a person in many ways. thanks .

Way to go andy1979, many people don't understand that it's easier said than done. You have to watch this, don't eat that, measure this I get to the point I say OH JUST FORGET IT, but I have to come back to "if you don't succeed try try again" well here I go again. Good Luck in all you do. Happy Thanksgiving too.

happy thanksgiving to you too , wished we celebrated it over here in uk,. Before my diognosis it was my dream to have a week or 2 over in states and eat some of the fantastic food that is on offer. was a fan of tv programme man vs food . I do like my food and realise that my love of food and hereditary factors has played a part in getting diabeties at 34 years old. however my attitude towards food is changing for the better including the choices i make. i do find my diet a pain in arse at times but thinking in few months time a good excuse to buy new clothes that i actually wear for style and comfort instead of just comfort. good luck in all you do too.
