If you're like me, you've modified some family-favorite recipes to me more diabetes-friendly. With the upcoming holidays, we may be making more of those family favorites. I have successfully used the "Recipe Nutrition" site to input MY ingredients along with servings per recipe and it will calculate the nutritional values per serving for you. I often go there to get the nutritional values before posting any recipes here on Diabetic Connect, so I can include the nutritional info. Here's the link: It costs nothing to become part of the site. Hope you find it helpful and Happy Holidays to all!

I have been using MyFitnessPal for more than a year now. It helps a lot with planning, but you have to be careful because the entries are put in by users, so are not always reliable. Tracking my food has helped me a lot. So when I am being bad I at least know it.

Howdy Lou
Thanks for sharing this in a new discussion. I have been using the self nutrition sites for quite some time to get info on particular foods or drinks but was not aware of this for recipes.

I appreciate the share

God's best to you

Thanks for sharing this excellent resource! Knowing the nutrition information for favorite recipes is key, and I like the way you can see how changes in ingredients changes the nutrition facts. ~Lynn @Glucerna

I have to credit Gabby with suggesting that I start a new discussion featuring this site. I've mentioned it before in various posts/discussions throughout DC but this gets it out in the forefront, particularly during this food-rich holiday season. I've found it particularly helpful.

Now that is a handy dandy site if there ever was one. Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention. You know I had to join this site as well. I can't wait to see what some of my recipes are nutrition wise. Recipes on hand written cards from so many years ago may end up going the way of the Dodo bird, if you know what I mean.

Awesome! Thanks for posting this. MyFitnessPal has a great recipe calculator too which is especially helpful if you already use their app for tracking.

You are the best. I have also gone and set up a profile for myself to do this more often. It's great.
