Is there a way to change the notification settings so I am not getting so many. I get one every time a connection befriends someone or comments on a post. I have already set it to not get them sent to my email address but I am getting as many as 10-20 a day and sometimes more.

I can't access the delete feature on the notifications. I have tried refreshing and it still doesn't help. I also tried changing the compatibility setting.

BreC I just got an email that said you started a new discussion. I clicked on it and it came to this one. I then got a notification that said you replied to one of my post. I clicked on it and not only had you not responded to my post but I never participated in the discussion. I think the site is either haunted or has gremlins…LOL

Up in the right hand side of your screen where it says "Profile" next to your picture, click on the triangle and then click on "Settings". At the bottom of the page there is a notifications section that you can modify to your liking. It dictates when you get emails and for what reason. Personal message me if you need more help!

I have already stopped the notifications to my email address. I am getting notifications on here that this person is now friends with that person. And also if one of my friends comments on a post. Can't find a place to change that in settings. I was just wondering if there was a way to cut down on so many notifications.

I have been trying to find a way to stop that also. I don't care who people talk to or who they made friends with.

The notifications that are on the site are not able to be controlled, just the kind that go to your email. Which are you trying to change?

I am referring to the notifications here on this site. I changed the settings so I don't get them sent to my email address. Like Just Joyce, I don't really care who has become friends with whom but I am getting notifications for every time one of my connections adds a friend.

Unfortunately, that is not something that is changeable. I will see if it can be, but at this point it isn't. What I do is attend the notifications I am getting in my email and then I just delete the ones in the list. Like you, who becomes friends with who is not of my interest. But there might be people for whom it is. Sometimes when someone favorites something, it piques my interest. So I do glean through those, but I empty it every day so I doesn't get too overwhelming.

Howdy Bre
You may want to go to the bottom of the page and in the blue band click the feedback link. Then when the text box comes up tell them what is happening that you don't want to happen and someone should heip you with it in 24 to 48 hrs. The answer will come to your email box outside of DC.

I pray success on your quest

You should only get them if someone responds to your discussion post and if you reply in a discussion to something someone said. However, good luck with getting that fixed I get them from people who have not responded to my post. This has been screwed up for me for quite some time. i think the global thing sucks. I really don't care who has made friends with whom and don't see why I need to know it. I have over 89 and I can't find a way to clear it out without deleting each post individually.
