Has anyone taken Jardiance? It's just been approved by the FDA this year. My doctor gave me some samples to try, along with Metformin, to help bring my numbers down. I am avoiding taking this, for now, because it's so new. If you've been on it, please let me know how it's working for you. Thanks, Connie

hi lovecarbs. I was diagnosed in December and my dr prescribed jardiance to lower my a1c. That is all she gave me and told me to take that and start dieting and excercising. My a1c in December was 8.5 and in March was 5.8. I have lost a total of 30lbs since December. Although not a weight loss pill, Jardiance is working for me. Yes there is one side effect that annoys me but I take care of that otc. I am still taking it and have not experienced any other side effects it claims.

Thanks for your answer, Arcelia56. Would you mind telling me your side effect? Is it a urinary infection? I'm happy to hear you are doing so well on this. And, losing weight! I was losing, too, until I got on Glimeperide. It has given me such an appetite, plus it makes you gain weight anyway. Not happy with that, but my numbers are staying down and I don't have to stay away from carbs so much. Of course, that's probably my problem! Thanks again. Keep up your good work!

Howdy Lovecarbs

I don't take Jardiance, but looked it up and found this from ~

There are many side effects which may happen and there are several important contraindications noted there.

God's best to you

Thanks James. Yes, I have read about Jardiance. I just wanted to know from actual people who have taken it, how it works for them. I'm still not taking it - just got them yesterday, but I'm very leary of their newness. So nice of you to care, and God's best to you, too. Nice to see His name.
