It has been proven that I can't take Gabapentin for my neuropathy pain as it sends my sugar levels into dangerous readings. My Cigna insurance won't cover Lyrica. We had a heated discussion about that. Right now I am relying on Aleve. I go back to my neurologist next month. What are any of you taking or doing to help with the complications.

I don't take meds for neuropathy because once my blood sugar went down, the pain stopped. Now it happens if i am tired or have been standing a lot for long periods of time.

I bought a pair of good tennis shoes with really good support such as cross trainers and I wear thick socks. I by men's athletic socks because they are thicker than women's and fit better.

Try soaking your feet in warm water with Listerine. Try at least a quarter cup. I find it to be very soothing and relaxing for my feet. I also add epsom salt and some body was for the bubbles. Make sure you thoroughly dry your feet.

I don't take any pills for it, but one thing that helps calm my feet down at night is coconut oil. I recently infused my coconut oil with mint and that helps even more. I rub it on at night before going to bed and put a pair of socks on. It helps me get the sleep I need.
