Just got a call from my doctor office. They are having a lady come in on Nov 21 to have a class for my doctors patients and a family member. Kinda like a plus one. They thought I would be interested since I recently got on insulin. I am choosing to take my son who just recently learned he is diabetic. Its a free class and I think both of us can benefit from it.

they are a lifesaver. I was so thrilled that my insurance paid the cost in full for my classes, which if memory serves me correctly, were three classes (possibly 4) 2 hours each. I still have all that large amount of information with me in folders. whenever I have had a friend diagnosed and they can't go to classes, I make copies of the most important info. for them. I wish everyone could go to them.

Classes are a huge help, specially when you are just learning how to deal with it. Plus, it will give you and your son some accountability to each other down the road. I think it's a great idea. I hope you will share with us the things you learned in the class.

Howdy Bre
This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your son to learn and perhaps even to bond over your diabetes.

God's best to you both
