Thank you all for being so welcoming. [= So what do you guys follow as far as your "game plan" or what do you consider the biggest factors in keeping your blood sugars stable- insulin? diet? exercise? I have been having a hard time managing mine.

Howdy Bri
I am a T 2 who controls his diabetes by what he eats and avoids eating. (low carb/ high protein) I find that this is one of the biggest factors in managing diabetes.
I believe that even insulin dependent T 1s will find it helpful in managing their diabetes as it will keep one's BG levels down and will not needlessly raise the amount of insulin which is needed to keep their BG normalized. Also it helps keep fat from piling on as if there is less glucose in the blood, one will not need to cover for it, Extra glusose will need insulin to open the cells, and excess glucose will be deposited in the fat cells which are opened by the insulin.

Of course exercise and the proper use of one's medication are very important as well

God's best to you
