Well today I had two doctors appointments. First one was another EMG to test the nerves in my left leg. Well the difference between the one done a year or so ago with this one, is the fact this one hurt badly. Well the ruling is that Clonus. Meaning that my nerves are constantly contracting never relaxing. So got home took a nap. Then the second appointment was for the Pain Clinic. Well the Dr. Zeltwanger, beautiful baby blue eyes. LOL and I were talking about the history of the problem what meds and etc. that helped. Well I am on Methadone and Oxycodone. I have a script for Lidacain (sp?) which is like 93 dollars that I don't have right now. So the next step by Dr. Ewing aka 1st doctor, is wanting an MRI of my neck. Ugh! to be perfectly honest with all of you, I am scared now. So say a prayer for me please. Thank you all for letting me rant. Hugs

My orthopedic appointment was so-so the doctor thinks the loose bone is nothing to worry about and the pain is from the nerve that is by the L5 in the back bone so I have to were my doctor about options for the new herniated disc and deterioration on November 14.

Well the one thing I have done right was to move to Missouri with my Mom and Dad. Things are slow but they are working together :) so here is more info oK? I have been dealing with this for almost 4 years. Plus getting paperwork gathered together for my medical. Well since the EMG was done, I am having multiple muscle spams. Pain is now the hips and pelvic area of my back. Plus I am a bit confused and have to be careful while I walk, get up from a seated chair. So I am doing my best to handle all of this. Hugs

Prayers for you Tsal . There was a time I went through all that too. Ended up with Cymbalta and Lyrica that took awhile to kick in. I'll be over with before you know it.

Sorry you are having so many problems. I pray that it goes well and they find you the right help you need and at an expense that you can afford. Do they have where you can get help with your prescriptions? Linda

Hopefully the MRI will help get to the bottom of the cause. These kinds of things are so complicated and it seems like you have a good team that is working with you. I have never had that kind of pain, so I cannot even begin to understand what you are going through, but I too will be praying for you and for some resolution to the situation.

Hi TsalagiLenape, (wow, that's hard to spell!) :o) Like a couple of others who have commented here, I am praying for you every day for your miraculous healing. Here's a quote from the Bible where Jesus was talking to his disciples:
Mark 10:27 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”
Sending prayers, hugs and love your way…Tony

Hope that everything goes well with you! Try not to be frighten or worried. You'll get more stressed and probably there will be nothing wrong. Prayers sent your way for healing and peace.

Rant away Temi! That is partly why we're here! Another reason is to support one another and I will pray for you. I have had several MRIs in my life and while they are noisy when you are in there, they are not bad unless you are claustrophobic. If you are afraid of closed in places they do have open sided MRI machines which some have found helps. I had to do some breathing exercises and mental imaging of being in a mountain meadow with a babbling b brook running through it and tall pine trees swaying in the breeze. I was able to hold down my anxiety by doing that.

Before you take the MRI you might want to call the imaging place 3 or 4 days before and find out if there are any medicaions you are taking which has to be postponed. I was undergoing a MRI with contrast and I was not told to stop my Met 48 hrs before the proceedure. I developed a rather leather like skin because of that omission. It is best to double check

Prayers for you.

James

I will say a prayer for you and your doctors. This is similar to what my wife is doing with oxycodone and other medications. Hopefully the reason for the pain will be found.

So I woke up one Sunday in April with a pain in my right leg. Thought it was a pinched nerve and so by the time I went to doctor I was in a lot of pain and was prescribed muscle relaxers and pain pills. Did PT as well, finally I told the doctor that the pain was between my knee and my ankle. She sent me for an ultrasound which I had in July and no clots were found. When I came back from vacation , I had a nerve conduction test and that ruling was that my nerves were normal, in other words no pinched nerve. Then I was told to get an x-ray and MRI. The x-ray of my leg was fine but I have a "loose bone" in my knee which I Chabe an appointment tomorrow afternoon with an orthopedic doctor to discuss. The results of the MRI showed a new herniation and new degeneration, deteriation ( I don't quite remember what she said, but I have an appointment on the 14th to discuss options for that. My back doesn't even hurt, so we will see! I will be praying for you as I ask you to do the same for me. I will keep you posted!

Take care
