for type one diabetics. ive used symlin before mainly in am cause of normal insulin resistance. it slows the gastric emptying of sugars into the blood so allows sugar to gradually raise and insulin to wok easier. I know for most an additional injection doesn't seem fun but it really does help if you have problems with am sugars or are eating high amount of carbs in a meal like I have done off season with my bodybuilding. just curious of anyone elses experiences. and for those that don't know about It or never heard of it. check it out.

I have been on Symlin for 2 months. I am T1 and put on this when I asked my endo for some help losing weight. I had a little nausea the first few days and occasionally feel something close to heartburn. I have lost 5 lbs so far. Hoping to lose 20 more. It does help me feel full longer and also lessened my sweet tooth. Injections aren't bad at all. I am happy with it so far and hope for good results in the future.

This sounds like a great addition for those of us with insulin resistance or an overactive liver. I have not used it, but just might ask about it.
What kind of side effects have you had from using it? Being sick for a week after using it is one of the ones listed...just wondering how it made you feel.
