For those of you who are on the savvy side of technology here is a way to go wireless. Medtronic is working on a way to bluetooth yourself to your CGM app.

"Medtronic demoed its in-development Guardian Mobile system, which will send real-time CGM readings straight from a transmitter to a smartphone app via Bluetooth. Medtronic believes the product will only require a sensor, a Bluetooth enabled transmitter, and a smart phone – no receiver required. The system will operate independently of an insulin pump, which is good news for anyone who injects insulin manually (~70% of people with type 1 diabetes and the vast majority of people with type 2 diabetes). Where do you put comments on diatribe for that mobile thing. I could not find a place to put a comment. I have a droid by verizon wireless. Linda

DiaTribe doesn't run the app. You need to go to an app store and see if there is something you can use. Or contact Verizon to see if they have something or can direct you.

Maybe someone here with more knowledge on how apps and cell phones work could help Linda out?

How do we go about getting other phones on the list? Linda

I guess I would start by contacting the maker of the app to see if it is in the works. Then you might contact your phone or provider to see if they have something similar that will work on their products. I don't have any of these devices, so I am not really sure how it all works.

My phone does not do that. Are they planning to take in all the cell phones and make this available to all and not just one? Linda

Yeah, I don't own anything that needs a wireless connection, so it doesn't apply to me. But there are a lot of neat things out there that people use. I think less wires on my body would be great.
