I fill my RXs at CVS. I'm sick of them. They're always rude and make things difficult. They make my diabetes the hardest part. :O

Can anyone recommend a good pharmacy? I need to make the switch.

I love my CVS, I've always had really good luck with them. Although there are a few pharmacy technicians that I refuse to deal with working there currently, when they come to the window I just ask to speak to one of the other techs. As for the pharmacists themselves, they have always been very helpful to me and I'm on a first name basis with them as I am in several times a month and have multiple Rx's.
I've, also found Walmart to be very good, especially if you have to pay the full price on an Rx, their prices are the best in town. If my insurance won't cover an Rx, I go straight to WalMart.

I go to Wal-Mart because their faster service, I get a text message when Rx is filled and staff is always pleasant. I do not like CVS, have never gotten friendly service there. The closest one to my house looks like a bomb was dropped in the store.

I had my doctor call in a Rx to Rite Aid because it is next door to the doctors office and it was game day so getting past the stadium was impossible. I went to Rite Aid an hour later only to be told the pharmacist would not fill my Rx. I asked why and the pharmacist said I don't think you need this medication. It was my Metformin. I told her since I didn't ask you what you thought I think you should fill my Rx. Again she refused. I asked if it could be transferred to Wal-Mart. She said she doesn't transfer Rx. I asked why. She said "In my country we don't do that" I asked her what country was she in when she woke up this morning, your country or mine? Needless to say it went downhill from there. She had refused to fill several other prescriptions and these people were livid. The manager told her to fill the prescriptions. I filed a complaint with Rite-Aid. I went back to the store for something else and was told she was fired by an employee whom I happened to know.

I will complain to the stores manager when staff refuse to be helpful or are rude. I feel that if I am there to give you my business, the least you can do is have friendly, helpful staff.

The staff at our CVS is excellent…I'm sorry to hear that yours is not. Must be the management and particular employees. My husband has used Walmart for the last couple of years and they always bend over backwards to help him get the best prices~
Hope this helps,
Patti

I agree with you about Wal-Mart. They will bend over backwards to help you. The pharmacist even called my doctors office to find out why my Rx had not been called in. The nurse forgot to fax it. She filled it right away for me.

If you have a Costco near you you don't have to be a member to use their pharmacy. They also have the lowest prices on medication.

I have found Publix to be my favorite pharmacy. The pharmacist is awesome and will take time with me and answer questions. They are my local grocery store. I used to use Kmart, but had the same experience with them as you have with CVS. Sometimes the smaller ones are more personable. They can't always compete though with the big guys.

I do get some things from Sam's club, but they are not prescriptions, so I don't know how they would be in the nice and helpful side. I have never had anyone be rude to me there though.

It it probably this one CVS, if you have another one near you give them a chance. You might want to contact CVS corporate about this location.
