When I was first diagnosed over 10 years ago I was labeled as type 2 but here recently my new endo has diagnosed me as a type 1. I have my spurts where I do fine with my injections but now that he increased them I just cannot keep up with them. We recently talked about a pump, which as scared as I am, I really want one. I am still waiting to hear from the company about it, how long does it take to get one? I am also looking to find people who I can message and become friends with because I do not have any diabetic friends and no one who really understands how serious this disease is and how the ups and downs are so it would be wonderful to have someone to talk to!

Yeah the last two years have been really rough, I got really sick and stopped taking insulin because I wasn't eating because I would get sick and I ended up getting down to 100 pounds, I developed neuropathy and syncope, I am slowly fighting my way back but my sugars just will not get under control. I am also having a hard time keeping weight off I was happy when I got back to 130 but I have gone beyond that,

Hang in there…there are lots of people here to offer support. This isn't an easy disease to control sometimes and sometimes there just isn't any controlling it. It can be so easy to "burn out" from trying to do everything "right"…don't be afraid to holler when you need someone to talk with.
