I got a Dexcom cgm last week and have had it in for 6 days now. At first I thought it was really cool , then I realized that I didn't have as good control over my sugars as I thought I did and got really upset with myself. Now I've started tweaking my Lantus and Humalog dosage based on what my Dexcom is telling me, but I'm still sad my bubble popped. Did this happen to anyone else when they got theirs?

I am sure that a CGM is a lot like weighing yourself 5 times a day instead of once a week. You see just how much you fluctuate on an hourly basis. As long as your A1c is in a good range, I would not worry. Continue to adjust and have a goal for better levels and your A1c should improve. That is always a good thing.

Plus it's new. You are watching it every moment I'm sure. Curiosity is a strong force. You will find a balance and like so many here who have them, they say their control improves greatly. Knowledge is power, and now you have knowledge so many of us don't.
