I'm Outraged

It's been a while since I posted due to internet problems! But I had to post this because I find it absolutely ridiculous. The FDA can go entirely out of their way to approve a long lasting insulin for Type 2 diabetics that can cause tumors to grow on their thyroid gland and potentially kill them; but they cannot approve the new Animas Vibe insulin pump or the artificial pancreas that has been proven to save lives ? What kind of country are we living in that the substance that can kill people in our country gets approved before something that can save others ?
Here's the link, tell me your thoughts:

This is what I posed as a question a few weeks ago. Do we want a drug to be out there while they are still testing it, or do we want it tested and let us know the risks (as they know them) that we might face. http://www.diabeticconnect.com/diabetes-discussions/general/31535-being-stuck-between-a-rock-and-a-hard-place-drug-studies

There are things we can do. We can pair up with activist sites such as DiaTribe and Stripped. They are always on the Hill fighting for what they believe to be best for diabetes and they have done some good stuff. You can also personally address the FDA and your representatives to help in certain fights. It takes time and energy to make the changes.
