I happened to see this as one of the discussions, cant member where! But I got home last night. My husband was so happy. He said I bought you something today.. that is going to change your diabetes back to normal ,in just so many weeks! UM my father always told me.. If something is to good to be true… it usually is!!! I just kinda wanted to see if anyone has heard of this and what your input is? I have read some of the things not all . For one I don't like what you have to eat and what not of this plan? I believe and I am still new to this. But I believe diet and exercise is the way to go . What happens when you stop doing this plan, my guess your sugar levels would sky rocket! I don't know maybe it is a good thing but I am, to chicken to take that chance : ( Sorry Hun you may have wasted your money, but the thought was sweet : O )

"You claim you are on his plan/program/protocol and have seen BG (blood glucose) reduction. When you have completed your full 13 weeks and no longer have diatetes (according to Mr Pullman) consume something you KNOW will spike you and see if you have a gluco-normal response to it. Consume. let's say, a whole liter of regular coke or pepsi. Let us know how that experiment goes! I believe I know how it will turn out."
"Until you can do that sucessfully your claims mean nothing and Mr Pullman's claims are unproven"

Howdy Deb.
If you want to find the discussion where this is offered, go to the search box in the upper right hand corner of this page and put in "Pullman" in the box and click the icon. (I have not found anywhere where Mr Pullman is a "Doctor").

I don't wish to give Pullman's program any more free advertising on DC than it already has. In fact i have been repeatedly reporting the two posts I have found as I consider them FREE advertising and unless DC has radically changed the TOU, violates it.

In one of the discussions, I have responded to the person who posted the 2 discussions: "You claim you are on his plan/program/protocol and have seen BG (blood glucose) reduction. When you have completed your full 13 weeks and no longer have diatetes (according to Mr Pullman) consume something you KNOW will spike you and see if you have a gluco-normal response to it. "Until you can do that sucessfully your claims mean nothing and Mr Pullman's claims are unproven"

I have seen the Pullman advertisement out there on the internet several times as well.

i actually follow much of what his plan seems to entail: meal planning and excercise. I just don't claim that to follow my plan, diabetes will be eradicated within 13 weeks no matter whether one is T1 or T2. (evil grin: maybe I should promote my plan for money too. j/k)

If someone bought you the program and you have it in your possession I would be interested to know more of the particulars of the program. What foods you are required to eat, what exercises you are required to do. I'd be interested in receiving that information via private mail.

Of course I wouldn't want you to break the law.

Blessings to you and yours

PS now I will go back to those discussions where this is advertised and report them AGAIN. i invite you to join me in reporting them.

what it is is that you eat like if you had your stomach stapled like oprah for twelve weeks and you will find that your type 2 diabetes is reversed, and even if you go back to your habits 4 out of 5 did not get it again. Once you lose the fat around the pancreas the diabetes is reversed. I did this, and in this time i found i have the most amazing willpower of anyone i know, no wonder i gave up smoking 3 packs a day cold turkey and don't miss it. Yes, i was very hungry. My a1c? imagine my face when the doctor told me it was 10.1 and after losing 30lbs. Come to find out a week ago i found out i am type 1 and was misdiagnosed. This diet, i can tell you right away does as much as metformin does for diabetes type 1, same with stomach stapling and banding

I just did what I suggested and the only return I got was this discussion, so I guess the other two discussions have been removed. Thanks to the Tech people for that!

i did it and for three months my aic?10.1. It does work on t2 diabetics but it was found out last week through thourough testing i'm t1 and this diet does nothing for it. last winter i ate no more than 600 calories a day. all i did is lose weight. Now i know that the reason that it didn't work for me is i'm type 1
You CAN reverse true type 2 diabetes but cannot reverse 1 it's an autoimmune disease. Type 2 diabetics, i'm told, that have to use insulin are misdiagnosed type 1 but since the sugar is under control it's never told to them

I don't know how or id take this one off too. I was just curious about it!

I think it is OK to leave this one up as a caution regarding this promotion of that program. If you REALLY want to remove this click the report link and identify yourself as the original poster and ask it be removed. They may get around to it eventually.

might i remind you, no one but no one should go on any type of diet, reducing or slimming regime without their docotor's consent

i would never remove this diet off this site, as it could save the lives of people with type 2 diabetes. I can tell you thru experience, it only worsens type 1. But i have seen diabetics who completely reversed it, and eat candy like it's going out of style, interestingly it does not come back. in england they're finding with true type 2 that when you lose the fat around the pancreas you reverse the diabetes. Look up starvation reverses t2 diabetes on google and you can read all about it and if you're type 2 it certainly is better than pills, if you are on insulin this will not work as type 2 diabetes NEVER requires insulin supplementation, diet and exercise can reverse it and oral hypoglycemics will ALWAYS work on a type 2. The ones that "progress" to insulin are the misdiagnosed type 1 diabetics, they take insulin just like a type 1 but no one questions it since it puts it under control. This is something told to me by my endicrinologist, who ordered a c peptide test and discovered i'm a type 1

elmirerod1919 you are so incredibly full of … um …er … "misinformation" I wouldn't even know where to start.

Deb, I'm with you regarding diet & exercise through a lifestyle change is what is needed. A neighbor friend bought me a book also and I started to read it but it is basically one mans journey through diabetes. It would be an interesting book but it doesn't say what he does to improve his lifestyle and his life is kind of messy. I don't mind most of that because who doesn't have a messy life but I don't like foul language so I'm not sure I will finish the book.

diet and exercise is known to reverse type 2 diabetes, but you have to go to the doctor and let him/her know you're doing it, now your medications have to be adjusted for the loss of all those calories. Works wonders for true type 2 but if you're type 1 no matter what they tell you it does nothing for you. I went thru hell for six years with misdiagnosis and that's not the worst part. I hate to sound repetitive, but i'm so happy being treated as a 1 and so pain and puke free it's a f'ing miracle from god himself. I BEGGED ALL THE DOCTORS to CONSIDER i MIGHT be a type 1. No way. Fat people in their late 30s don't get type 1. Never mind all my life i've known i had it and i don't know why, but i really have always known. I was the only little six year old boy you'd see drink diet pepsi and tab and i'd tell people i can't drink the real one i'm diabetic and i believed it too whenever i told the doctors they told me i need something to do with my time. When i went on the starvation diet of 600 calories a day, i found i have AMAZING willpower,, but imagine the horror 10.1 a1c. When i went to the endicrinologist she said all signs look like i'm a 2 and i was very angry and i told her i KNOW i'm a 1 she asked me why i said i just know it. instead of laughing like the others did, she said frank go right down to the lab we'll run a c peptide test so you can know for sure you're a t2. finally someone willing to at least test for the type, i knew it would come back t1 so it was no shock when she called and told me to flush the metformin and glipizide and go to the pharmacy and pick up your new mealtime insulin, i just don't understand frank, but you are a t1. i said maybe 1 1/2 NO WAY was her frosty reply to that, she was POSITIVE my pancreas does not make insulin and was very weak all thru my life, which explains the pain i was always in. The reason she thought i was a 2 is because when i wake up it's high, but i'm a midnite snacker which i have to stop, as i've killed so many beta cells, i can't afford to cheat on my diet not one little bit. Never ever let a doctor call your diabetes t2 without a c peptide test. it may save your life. No doctor out there would've ever thought i was a type 1 and if i was not so insistent about it the endicrinologist was ready to start me on victoza, but since i was going to take it, we waited and she called me in a week, what a relief!!! I feel like a real human being with no pain, no puking, no swooning, i can walk a mile, damn i want the summer back, sickness and fatigue ruined it for me. And if you are type 2 and they say you need insulin run fast as hell out of that office and into an endicrinologist's office and get the test done. type 2 diabetes never requires insulin supplementation unless the doctor prefers it

Thx James, I wont be using the program. But do feel bad my husband paid for it. The title said doctor.. but I haven't had the time to read it all ,there is a lot too it. Well you wont have to worry about me mentioning another word about it. I just wanted to get a little input about it! I wouldn't ever try anything with out my doctors okay anyhow! But thx and have a great evening!
