I'm finding it hard to do my insulin in front of my new friends they know I'm diabetic but still feel awkward doing my insulin in front of them I know people will say just get on with it and do it
Well it's not that easy for me I've had problems in the past doing my insulin in front of people and don't know what to do I don't want to scare them off or have other students stare at me can anyone give me advice please

Ik how u feel… I've had diabetes since I was 16… and now I'm 49… I'm just starting to do it around people I know… but I've done it around some people I don't… U would be surprised how they act asking question and stuff, it's hard but remember it's your life… talk to people… to let them know you have it… and that's what u have to do to love… They will understand :)

I understand compleatly. I was really uncertain about taking mine at work. I have found that people are more curious than anything. I don't know how many tines I've been asked if it hurt. Chances are they will find it interesting and not mind. If you find someone who can't handel it (someone who don't like needles) simply excuse yourself for a few minutes and go somewhere private. I'm always totally upfront. "I'm going to take my shot anyone who may be offended may want to turn around." Just be you and do what u need to. Your health depends on it.
