It was reported on NBC news last night that there is the possibilty that for the next 2 years, people receiving Medicare will NOT be receiving a cost of living raise in January, as they ususally do. This, of course, is due to the economic situation that the country is now in. I certainly hope that does not come about. People receiving Medicare are the ones who need the cost of living raises the most. I would think that the government could find somewhere else to cut costs, such as some of their political jaunts and travels and expenses that are paid for with taxpayers money. I guess we will just have to see how things turn out.

In January, when you get the raise on Medicare, they also raise the cost of your Medicare card(coverage). If they're not going to give raises, in January, are they going to raise the cost of your coverage?
I feel, they shouldn't. That would cost people too much, and we already live on too little!

That was not in the report, about the cost of our payments. So, I don't know the answer to that. I will be keeping an eye open and watching for any further reports.

I agree with Mary!! Let them cut expenses, some where else. Most people on Medicare, don't have enough to go around, now, as it is. I would like to see the politicans try to live, on what some people get!!!! They wouldn't know what hit them!!!! Most of them, would shrival up and die.
