I made my decision to go with a pump. I'm in the process of getting approved for one. I have an appointment with my dietician in a couple weeks, then after that the diabetes educator to order my pump. I'm going with the medtronic mInimed 530G with Enlite sensor.

Allen, I've been on an insulin pump since 1999 and can say that it, along with the CGM component, has transformed my diabetes management. It's a steep learning curve, but I know that you'll work through it and reap the benefits. Congratulations!

Allen 405: I LOVE my Medtronic Minimed pump but never had an Enlite sensor. However, since I had Bariatric sleeve surgery 2 weeks ago, I have not used my pump as both my surgeon and endocrinologist have told me that my blood sugars are terrific and the pump was making them too low. So I am OFF PUMP and not even taking any Diabetic medication. Also my blood pressure is way down. However, I would still recommend the pump.
