Hi DC world. I haven't been here in a while, but I mean to take advantage of all the support I can get here. I've been crashing so bad. I have to get up in the middle of the night to check my sugar. It went so low one time I had seizure and to spend a couple of days in the hospital. Mt last A1C was 6.9 which I am not happy with. The doctor is working with my meds, but they have to deal with clot meds also. I just want to get back to where I was to start living for me not my illness.

I'm confused. Why are you not happy with your last A1C at 6.9? I would give anything to have that number. That's my struggle. I completely understand how it is to want to start living for yourself and not our illness. I feel that being a diabetic is all consuming. I guess we both will feel better once we get diabetes under controll so that we control it and not have it control us.
I care about you…Candy

Thank you Candy, I had worked so hard and had it down to 5.5. It stayed there about 2 years. I got pneumonia last year and it's been out of wack ever since. I wish you all the luck with your efforts. I'll be praying for you. We will get our lives back…
I care too…

As a new member of the club I wanted to help you out with my solutions. I crashed hard too. I have found a snack before bed works, but only if I have not eaten a late dinner. Good luck.

Sometimes this works for me and sometimes not. I have some other issues going on with my system. Hopefully we'll get the meds corrected again.

Howdy JPetei

Which diabetes medications does Dr have you on? Which "clot meds" (blood thinners?) are you taking? Maybe someone here has experience with one or more of them.

Living for you and not your illnesses is something which is a mental attitude. And it looks in your photo as though you have someone else for whom to live as well.

I am sure you'll get to that more positive mental attitude of living for you and not your "medical challenges".

God's best
James .
