The National Institutes of Health will be conducting in home trials of the artificial pancreas. More and more of this is happening and allowing the studies to be at home in "real life" environments is great.

"On July 21, the NIH announced a major initiative to commit $20 million to fund home studies of artificial pancreas devices; the goal is to generate data for regulatory agencies like the FDA. Any organization is eligible to apply for the one to three awards available, including for-profit businesses, academic institutions, non-profits, foreign organizations, and governments."

It will be good when we know who is getting the funding and conduction the trials. I hope that some of us here are able to participate in a trial. This is huge.
