Funny thing that white coat syndrome… I have a pretty nasty case of it myself, except I tend to get irritable, not scared. My endo actually did after hours appointements in a small, informal clinic. The relaxed atmosphere there helped me out with my problem. I can now see her in a normal clinic because she earned my trust and respect for her extra work and for the concern she has shown for people like me.

Long story short… Is there anything like this near other people?

Sounds to me like you have a case of "White coat syndrome".

Just the fact that you are willing to acknowledge it and want to do something about it is a step in the right direction.

To tell the truth we all seem to have a case of White coat syndrome but in varying degrees and intensities. I know there are things I don't want to do (like colonoscopy) and I avoid them. So don't feel that you are alone in this.

I found a website which discusses this in a bit of detail in a 3 page article. You may find it here ~ http://www.webmd.com/anxiety-panic/features/b...

The possible solutions don't start coming until the bottom of the 2nd page (as I recollect) but I encourage you to read all 3 pages so you get a good overview of the topic.

I pray that this helps
