You didnt say if you were taking other meds… I have to take a heart med that will make your feet fill with water… an I have to take a water pill to keep them down… I have found that if you see it more at night then try to keep your feet above the level of the hips this will help keep the water out of that area, an if you can take a quick walk for 10 min an this will help work the water back up the body,,, also the doc`s told me to take Omega 3 oil for this will keep the veins soft an flowing better… also helps to keep the bs down..since I started taking it my numbers have dropped by 20 to 30 so now my numbers are 90 to 150 instead of 120 to 200… anyway it works for me…pat

I have taken water plls for at least 5 years to prevent swelling in my feet, ankles and fingers. They also lower my blood pressure.

to help get the swelling under control I was put on lasix.(avoid grapefruit while taking). this has helped me along with feet elevated at night and salt reduction in meals.

Hi,as far as the swelling watch if you are eating anything too salty. That will make you retain fluid. Try to elevate your feet while lying down make sure your feet are up higher then your heart level. I would not worry too much unless it keeps happening. Do you have high blood pressure ??I hope I helped you a little bit. Feel better.
