I got the results from the Doctors Office about my A1C yesterday and it took me this long to come to terms about what I was told I have to do till my next visit on August 31st. I have to write down everything that goes into my mouth each and every day. He thinks that will help us to figure out why my Blood Glucose Numbers are staying up there, and why I am having trouble losing the weight I need to.
I am going to post all of my Numbers for the last week here starting with Sunday May 24th till tonight with the last testing I did about an hour ago.
Sunday May 24th
Before Breakfast: 117; After Breakfast: 232; Before Lunch 200; Before Supper: 138
Monday May 25th
Before Breakfast 127; Before Lunch 265; Before Supper 227
Tuesday May 26th
Before Breakfast 129; After Breakfast139; Before Supper 165
Wednesday May 27th
Before Breakfast 177; Before Supper 189; At Bedtime 168
Thursday May 28th
After Lunch 220; Before Supper 121; Before Supper 167
Friday May 29th
Before Breakfast 138; Before Lunch 212
Saturday May 30th
Before Breakfast 161; Before Supper 276 and at Bedtime 186

I have been eating like I always have but the numbers still bounce around and I am starting to get scared about it. I hope writing down every thing I eat will help us to figure out what is causing the problems I am having.
These Numbers are making me Depressed very much and I don't like asking for help of anyone never have really but here it is getting easier for me. I am writing my New Discussion for Next Month Tonight and Hope we have all of you coming back next Month to join us and give your opinion on what we can do to make life easier with Diabetes for all of us.
Thanks for joining me here and hope to see more of you Next Month. I will post my numbers tomorrow night for tomorrow and then I will post from Monday thru Sunday as our Log Books are wrote up on My Blood Sugar Numbers once a Week and the rest as Usual unless I am not online for one reason or another. When I am traveling I will post the first chance I can after getting back home unless I have a lap top with internet use near by me.

THURSDAY MAY 21,2009
My BG was 177 when I checked it. took my byetta and humalog Fixed myself a bowl of Spoon Size Sherdded Wheat the frosted kind. I had my shower and it took me at least 10 mins for each leg to shave them sitting down at the kitchen table before the shower. I had not shaved for at least 4-6 months. LOL But I didn't get dizzy this time takeing my Shower like I usually do.
At 8:45 I ran into Kokomo to run Errands paid the car insurance and The Truck Downpayment some more we now only have $400 left on the Down Payment and our 1 months payment to pay then we have I beleive she said 30 days to pay the sales tax. Got back from town at 10:55 I had to run into Peru at 4:00 to be there to pick Gerry up from his Visitation of Devon but when I got there he had driven his brothers car into town with out a Drivers License,so I drove back home and had a quiet afternoon and evening. I got back here at about 5:14 and started making Supper. I fixed Sloppy Joes and Mixed Veggie salad with Potato Wedges. After Supper my BG was 197; I had 2 saltine crackers with peanut butter. I kept forgetting to do things tonite so I put more steps on today than I first thought I would. The only walk I took was to the mailboxes and back. Our temp out side got upto 88* It was so hot that I started to sweat alot if the temps stay up like this I will get sick again and hopefully not dehydrated this time.
My Numbers are as follows:
Steps: 8703
Miles: 4.120
Calories: 234.9
And the time I finished writing this in my paper Journal was 10:06 PM

Now for Friday May 22,2009

I got up at 3:30 and got Bill off to work then I started the Laundry and getting things ready for me to go into my Dr. App. at 8:15 I was working on my Diabetic Meal Plans and sewing my shirt that I wore today. I got to the Drs. Office at 7:40 and sat in the Truck till 7:55 was leaving the Drs. Office at 9:15 I stopped at McDonalds for a Breakfast something I don't normally do and I won't again real soon either. When I got home I checked the book to see what the numbers were for my meal. Following you will see what I ate and what it cost me Health wise: 2 Sausage Breakfast Burritos @ 290 calories each,16 grams of fat 25grams of Carbs.
1 Hash Brown Patty @ 140 calories, 8 grams of fat and 15 grams of Carbs.
1 12oz glass of OJ @ 190 calories, 0 grams of fat, and 44 grams of Carbs.
For a total of 910 Calories; 24grams of fat; and 84 grams of Carbs. That is over half of my Calories for the day. WOW I never thought they were that high before. Now I know. I will carry my Fat and Carbohydrate book everywhere I go from now on to stay in range for my meals. For Lunch I had a dish of Spaghetti and 2 hotdogs sandwiches with mustard on each slice of bread again over the range. I also picked at potato Chips all day long. From now on I will make breakfast the night before my Drs. Appointments and Lunch with it so as not to screw up again like this.
For Supper I made bbq chicken in the oven and mac and cheese with turnip greens My BG just alittle while ago was 285 That is what I get for not staying in my range and now I really have to fight to get the extra weight off or maybe not be here in the future if I don't take care of myself now.
Hopefully this helps some one out Here.
Good Luck to all of my Family and Friends

I went to my Drs. Appointment this morning and I find myself not leading a very good Example for all of you here that is following my Discussion. Since my last visit in Feb. I have gained 12 pounds and my numbers have also gone up. I have till August 31st one month after my Birthday to get my act together or I will get a big bawling out by the Dr. He is giving me just the next 3 months to follow what he is saying and I need to get with the R. D. also to get my Meal Plans straightened out also.

So Starting Tomorrow I am going on a Daily Plan for each day and see how that works out for the next 2 weeks. If I see a change in weight and numbers then I will stick with it, if not then I revise my Daily Plan until I find what does work for me.
Have to run to get my Meal Plans made for tomorrow and Sunday and then also for the following week. I will be using all of the different Recipes from here and other Diabetic Sites to get started. When I can remake some of my favorites then I will use them also.
Talk to you all later. Yesterdays and todays will be posted together tonight.
Have a Great Day Everyone.

I checked my Blood Sugars only 3x today
After Breakfast it was 144 I had a BLT for Breakfast not hungry for anything else at the time. For my Morning Snack I only wanted a hot dog so I ate one.
Didn't check bs at lunch time for that meal I had a peanut butter and strawbeery jam sandwich and a hot dog with some potato chips not much thou Not hungry but knew I had to eat.
Before Dinner my bs was 125 I had bbq porkchop with fried potatoes and onions and for the veggie I warmed up spinach.
At 8:45 bs was 115

Now for what I wrote in my journal for today. I walked the front of the Trailer Park about 12:05 and I walked toward the back of our street around to the second up it and around to the third one and walked down it and around to the fourth one and back up to the front of the Trailer Park stoped by the Pop machine and got myself a diet pepsi. I have a cup that holds 20oz. of fluid and filled it up 3x today and drank the whole 20oz pop also. I stopped by the seat sitting infront of the office and sat down for about 5 mins. the pain in my back didn't get any better so I walked onto the trailer and got my Darvocet after about 15 mins I dicided to lay down for a nap so I locked the screen doors and slept on the couch for awhile. I set the timer on the stove for 1 1/2 hours and went to sleep but the phone rang 3x during that time so my nap wasn't very relaxing for me but the pain did stop. At about 3:30 I walked upto the mail boxes which is at the front end of the third street. Got the mail and walked back. After dinner about 8:00 I took my last walk around the front of the Trailer Park and walked the same way I did at 12:05 I got to the third street was just getting to the corner to turn toward the 4th street when the pain in my lower back and hips started hurting again. I finished the walk and my legs were feeling like rubber again and throbbing too, my chest hurt and I had a headache too. After about 1 to 1/2 hours the headache went away and so did the chest pain with out medication. My Step counter was on me all day and I feel I did ok even though I didn't walk as far today as I did yesterday at the mall. So following is my Numbers for today:
Steps:8112
Miles: 3.840
Calories: 219.0
Time I wrote this down in my journal was 10.:27 pm
Hope this helps some one out there. Looking at you kid, Good Luck tomorrow everyone. I hope to get in more distance before the pain hits tomorrow. Night all!

Tonight I have a book to add.
I got up at 3:30 and BG was 57 I almost finished Bill's lunch to send him off to work and he had to get his coffee in both the travel cup and his thourmus. I sat down with a small bowl of mac and cheese with weiners in it.
Stayed up till 4:55 and then went back to bed till 8:30 BG was 122 by then. For lunch at 11:45 I had a bowl of Chicken noodle soup and a grilled cheese sandwich and 2 hours later BG was 206. I fixed bbq pork steak, Nacho pasta, and peas for supper and 2 hours later BG was 133 That pasta dish sure was spicey but good. I weighted myself tonight at 7:30 and it was 261.4 pounds that was at the end of the day from now on I will weight myself in the AM before I get dressed for the day. The Scale I am using is the Curves Scale that gives me my Body Fat%; Body Water%;and Bone Mass%
so my %'s are as follows BF = 45.1%; H2O= 40.0%; and the B= 6.1%
According to the book my Body Fat% (BF) should be 21-31% with mine being 45.1 that is in the Obese area; My Body Water%(H2O) should be 50-55% mine is 40 so I am low there Not getting enough water into my body. and the Bone Mass% (B) should be 4-6% I am at 6.1 so I am good there.
I put the step counter on at Noon today so these are only my Afternoon numbers Not bad for half a day. LOL
They will be at the end of this post. I have been doing Laundry this evening so I got extra exercise and don't know how many calories that is and I do it 2x a week. Starting this week I am going to be trying to plan our Meals for a wk at a time if not done on Sundays then must be done by Noon on Mondays. As the Log Books are from Mon. thru Sun. that is the way the Meal plans will be wrote up also. As it gets easier I will try to get a month at a time done. To get started I am going to be using Sparkpeople.com to get my meal plans and as I learn and it gets easier I will make my own.
I will get lots of Recipes and Grocery Lists together to plan meals and then all left overs will be froze and saved for when I don't want to cook or am not home so that Bill won't have to cook.
Now that I am at the end here is the Final Numbers for today. Bedtime BG is 154 and the Step Counter Numbers are as Follows:
Steps:5292
Miles:2.505
Calories:142.8
Not bad for only half of the day.

I hope everyone else has as good a day as I did all things considering. If I didn't have my head attached I would have been lost all day. Tomorrow is a New Day and a New Beginning for us All so to that end Good Night and talk to all tomorrow again.

It is so hard to lose it once you put it on! I lost 35 lbs in the last year & 1/2 by cutting down on bread and potatoes. This is incredibly difficult with me being Italian, but I try some substitutes, like cauliflower instead of taters!

I forgot to post last nite before going to bed so here it is:
I forgot to wear my step counter so not sure how many steps, miles and calories I did. Don't have it on again today but have not gone outside either day except to walk down to get the mail and around the inside of the trailer It is just over 3,000 steps to the Mailbox and back but don't know how many steps I took inside so that was a waste for me.
I only walked about 250 steps so far today as I have been up just over 3 hours. Not feeling very well this weekend. In and out of the bathroom lots of times yesterday and so far today have been there once. My stomach is hanging lower than normal and my legs don't appear as large either as they usually do, my arms has alittle more sag to them also. Need to get out and exercise more to start toneing up and then see where that puts me. When I tone this up then I will measure myself and see where that leads me. On Sparks they want you to weight in once a week and measure yourself also each week did that today will see how I do next Sunday will copy both measurments here then to show how I am doing.
My B G this morning at 3:45 was 57 and when I got back up at 8:30 it was 122 so not bad there. will keep you posted thru out the day as to where they are at.
I got a new Exercise tape to do it is teaching myself to belly dance. It should tone up my belly and the rest of me as I go along. Plus I'll learn a new dance as well. LOL

Well today was a bummer in a way! Ty n I usually will walk in the evening when its cooler, etc. We should have gone during the day darn it. Ulgh…We had a wicked thunderstorm here so we did not get to do our walk. But we won't give up, just another day. Also, I just wanted to share when I went to my respiratory MD a week ago they said I lost ten pounds…and it had been hrmm maybe six weeks since I last was there. I go back in a month and half…we'll see then. But this md is so mean, he still told me I am fat and smoke so I'll die with some infection in my bloodstream, I left so upset…unsure of why to live..got myself together thanks to Ty of course. I mean I had lost ten pounds, and was asking for the medicine to help me quit smoking…then this md just mouths off…and there is no other office my regular md says in town for me to go to for my issues. Anyhow, thanks Eddie for welcoming me!!! I LOVE to read too, I go thru phases though where I will be stuck reading hours on end…or just hardly at all for a bit, I dunno it's weird. What kind of books are they? I mean I don't know the author and what she/he writes. That is great though you got to go there and so on. Okay, I am rambling…thanks for letting me be a part of this ya all! *Hugs* Love yasssssssssssss Sheila

Hello Lipsie.
Unfortunately, that 'mean' MD is right on. They no longer tiptoe around a person's health issues that they have 100% control over themselves.I know he upset you, but did you listen in your heart? {{Hugs}}
Been reading about your wounds. Oh mercy. Between the diabetes and the smoking, your circulation is badly impaired, which definitely affects the healing process.
Walking is good. ANY walking is better than no walking. You get yourself an attitude and say "I will do this, come Hades or high water'. It can be done. There are other exercises than walking. Many can be done sitting. Lifting canned goods, using a towel to stretch, Leg lifts, etc. Last winter, we had so much ice and snow that I used a cross country ski pole as a cane. Worked great! A regular cane, with an 'ice pick' tip would do the same. But, had the poles.
I, too, am a reader. Stephen King, Dan Brown, James Patterson, etc. Can not tolerate romance novels. But that is just me and I am not denigrating anybody who loves them.
As Edie says, mall walking is great. They do have benches. Many malls open early just for the walkers. Some even have walking clubs with prizes, etc.
Lipsie, we truly care. I wouldn't be so blunt if I didn't care. Keep posting, send me a msg. whatever, I DO care.

Hi, okay well this doctor wants me to quit smoking yet would NOT give me a prescription for the patch, chantix, nothing and I disagree with that notion but it's all good cuz I did what I had to and got my patches, knew they would not work cuz tried a few times in the past but still for my insurance to cover Chantix I had to do something else first…and then I got my Chantix. Anyhow, I left that place suicidal and I am sorry but maybe he's right on medically but personally it hit me wrong and if my fiance had not been with me or whatever, I dunno I could have just done something stupid cuz I felt like why bother going thru life then if this is it, and that's how I felt at that time. Yes, I am oversensitive, and yes I have mental conditions and am being treated for such. I was not doing so peachie back then and was fragile. I dunno, just from the get go I had a bad vibe about the doctor…And I know some may not believe in that but it was a gut feeling I was insecure around him so that is why my finace went with me, to all visits with him. Anyhow, enough of that…about the wounds really quick the infection is TOTALLY gone, and they are healing every week I go to the Wound Clinic and they are closed more and more…yeah it'll take time but they actually seem to be doing better than we all figured. Yay! Now, I am still fighting with my insurance, my regular md office is now doing paperwork, said Friday about a week and I should be about to get my Chantix…whereas I smoke one week with it and then quit the md said. Of course I'll keep all updated then, and need major support I am sure cause It'll be one the hardest things in my life that I have ever done.As far as other exercises, yes you are right, I do need to implement more into my life, I guess I got a little too happy with myself cuz I was at least doing walks, something I have not been doing in years. Anyhow, thanks for listening everyone! Love yasssssssss Sheila

{{Hugs}}} I am sorry that I upset you so. I quit, cold turkey years ago. So, to 'me', I guess I feel all should be able to do so. Obviously not.
Mental issues. I am on a lot of anti-depressants. Why? My DH has terminal cancer. We have been fighting it for five years and it won't be much longer, and it does get wearing on one.
But, I do NOT use it for an excuse for being rude.
I have had doctors which gave me a 'gut feeling' of ineptitude. I am well known for saying what I think to them. :) They sometimes think the patients are all idiots. They have no idea of my level of education and/or expertise.
You do not always know what they are experiencing themselves too.

I am sorry to hear that! That must be extremely difficult and I could not even imagine being in your position. *Hugs* I do wish I could quit cold turkey but I live my life around a stupid ol' cigarette, I really do, when I wake, upset, after eating, after shower, any any time I am upset or happy…moods..which you always have. I panic at the thought of being without them even. So it'll be a challenge but I am going to take it on. I am sorry if I got so defensive by the way, really I am. Thanks for caring and sharing your concern really! *Hugs* Love yassssss Sheila

hea Lipsie I have joined Sparkspeople it is a Health Site that we can track our progress on the weight loss and they also help us with the plans to get where we want to go. I went there today and seen they have a group that is for older people in their 50's to 70's and older so I am joining that group for my age 52. There are alot of other groups there also just go to www.sparkspeople.com and check them out. Hopefully this helps you also.
I weighted my self and I am at 260.8 and want to get down to 150 again. Can't remember when the last time was. Either when I was pregant for Pam or After not sure. She is now 26 years old so you can see it has been a long time for me. Need to get off my butt and get back on track for my self no one else and only I can do it. I asked my Dr. to take away the Insulin and he said I had to lose weight first. That is a big laugh as the insulin makes you gain weight and when asked if he would give me something to help lose the weight he said no.
So I am doing it my slef and watching very closely how the product I got my self is doing and where my sugar levels are at if I drop to low I will stop using it. I will even try lowering the dose they recomend for me.
If it works for me I will post it under product reveiws. Just remember everything affects different people different ways. So if you try something over the counter moniter it very closely with your Sugars and how it makes you feel. Keep a journal on it every day.

I have not been able to do much lately cuz of a bum knee, wounds, etc. And he had a knee issue and WAS on crutches. So now we BOTH walk around with our canes we got now. Last night I was exhausted and fell asleep way early so we missed but the two nights before we walked and I do plan to walk today/tonight. Thanks for joining us and keep coming back. I am going to be walking on Mon, Weds, and Fri with Bingo at the Mall here in town to help me to get more active and they have seats if I can't keep going we can take breaks that way and were out of the weather also.
They also have a Books-A-Million I just love that store, I got another Sue Henry Book and when I am done reading it I mail them to Mary in Alaska to add to her collection. She got me reading them while visiting in 2006 for a month so I could get to know my grandchildren up there and spend her Birthday with her the 26th of March so I went up on the 18th and came home on April 17th. She gets the books and they are free for her. LOL She got me hooked but I don't have room for the books to keep myself so she gets them all.

Here is yesterdays posting sorry I'm late. For May 15th
Today I ran Errands 2 of which I walked upto get the Mail and the other I scrubbed the Kitchen Floor. Bill called on his way home and told me not to cook dinner as we had to go into the Funeral Home to pay our last respects to Great Aunt Maxine's family so he took me out to dinner for a change. My step numbers for the day were
Steps:6631
Miles: 3.139

This Morning I weighted myself and I am now at 260.8 pounds. My Bg before Breakfast was 149 and 3 1/2 hours after it was only 73 was on the run till just before Supper so I didn't check it again till this evening and it was 155 before Supper and 2 hours after it was only 141
Breakfast was 2 slices of wheat toast with an egg and pork patty on it as a sandwich. for Lunch I had 3 hot dogs in chili dog sauce no bread and for Supper I had 1/4 of a stuffed porkchop that I split with my youngest Daughter and her two Sons with Mashed potatoes and french style green beans.
I had alot less than I usually have on my plate. LOL The kids ate most of what was given them and I got to get pictures of them with me and Grandpa. Tanner had two with Grandpa and one with his brother and me and I got one of DJ with their Mom. I haven't seen them since last Oct just before they moved out of the Trailer Park.
So that gave me all 3 of my Grandsons seen today that live in the Area near me. Next week I am going to get some pictures of Devon with his Dad and also with Me.
Here is my Counter Numbers now for today.
Steps: 6424
Miles:3.041
Calories: 173.4
I was walking at the Mall today and then in town at the Visitation with my Son Gerry and his Son Devon.
I am trying a new product to help me loss weight. I will post how it did at the end of June as I just started it.

Good morning from the best coast. ;)
Saw my GP yesterday and she was thrilled with my wgt loss.
Busy this past week. Spent one of those days cooking to prep a month's meals to freeze. A lot of the meals are for 4 servings, so I split them up. Ended up with two months meals for one day in the kitchen,
All are put into freezer containers or freezer bags, along with nutrition information/date/cooking information.

Thanks for the idea Latte Lady. I will try that next month when we go grocery shopping again. We usually buy for 2 weeks at a time. I will make ahead for the month of main courses and then just buy the fresh Vegs. and Fruits weekly.
Have a great weekend and how much did you lose so far weight wise and how did you do it. Please let us know.

Edie, so far I have lost 30# since the first of October, and I swear by Weight Watchers. I follow the dietitian's menu, but WW is very close. I also use the weekly weigh in as a motivator. I also exercise DAILY. If no walk, then I can do exercises using my arms by lifting canned goods.

Good Evening Everyone;
I have just about finished sorting all of my totes and boxes in the front area of the trailer where my Office/Sewing Room is. I have not found all of my Diabetes information yet. I have 4 boxes left to sort and hope what I am looking for is there. Also haven't found my camera cable yet for the computer so I am going to order a new one from Kodak so that I can get my pictures downloaded as soon as possible.
If I don't find the Diabetic information then I will start over from Scratch and then start making new Menus for the Month of July and putter along for the month of June like I am for this month. My numbers are below 165 for the past week. Keep your fingers crossed that they stay down and that the meals I make are good for us. When we went to the store today for groceries we found a strawberry glaze that was sugar free so I am going to make an Angel food cake and have strawberry short cake for dessert tomorrow after I make stuffed pork chops with mashed potatoes using 1% milk and margarine. I found that the 1% don't spoil as fast as the others do and I get to use the whole gal before it turns.
Starting tomorrow I am going to be on here from 4am till 6 getting Diabetic Recipes copied to use with my menus and then make weekly shopping lists to get all that I need for each week. By the end of the year I hope to have lost at least 20 pounds one way or another. If I try to lose atleast 25% of my body weight I will need to strive for 64.75 pounds. That will bring me down to just over 194 pounds. then I can go from there to reach my goal. I will keep all of you posted as to how it is going. Will post my weight tomorrow when I get on line again so for now Good Night.

What keeps us from exercise and eating right?
We know it will help our diabetes, yet we are recalcitrant about doing something about it.
Well, get off our fannies and MOVE IT! If you are a tad disabled, there are dozens of exercises which can be done in a chair.
Some of the things I have done in the past to keep my consecutive string going: No coffee until x number of minutes exercised, no reading or quilting until x number of minutes done. That sort of thing. Plus, walking the big dogs helps them also.
In re diet. I 'know' losing weight will help, and being a hard headed old broad, I am doing just fine. I take the time to plan the meals two weeks in advance (only shop every two weeks). Post the menues so I can see them while taking meds in the morning. I also plan for leftovers, and thus have extra 'homemade' entrees stashed in one of the freezers. You read that right, two freezers. DH and I are very frugal and buy on sale, Plus also buy lots of case lots.
I do not buy items which could trip me up. If I am craving something I should not have, I make myself walk to a grocery store to buy it. A good mile and a half each way, or ride my bicycle. Often by the time I have arrived, I no longer want the item. Which meant it was an impulse.
I do not play games with my health, do you? If you do, why are you? This is good question to ponder.

Thankyou for writing this post Latte Lady It is a good question and I like the fact that you plan your meals two weeks in advance I will try that and see if it doesn't help me out of the rut I am in. I went for a walk this morning and wanted a Diet Pepsi when I got to the pop machine it wouldn't take my dollar so I walked back home the long way and visited a friend along the way when I got back I put that dollar in my change bank and feel better not being able to get the pop any way. When I got back to the trailer I got me a drink of Lemonade instead.Drank less of it than I would have of the pop which is good. My sugar numbers have been lower than normal for me today and I am glad for that.
My right shoulder has been hurting all day and now it hurts so bad that even my neck hurts some now. I have tried to loosen up the shoulder by rolling my shoulder and it is not working I have tried to rub it away and that don't work either. Any suggestions out there that might help me please and thankyou.

Shoulder pain. Now, DH has had a total replacement on each shoulder, and has lots of exercises. But what comes to mind is the 'dangle'. Lean over, let that arm hang down, then move the arm …slowly… in figure eights. Pretend you are writing on the floor. Give it a try. Who knows, it may work.

Thankyou I will the next time it happens again. It has been over 10 years since I have had pain like that in either Shoulder. I had a shower this morning and turned the shower head to pulse and turned up the heat till it let go and did my streaches in the shower to get it to let go. It finally worked and now the pain is almost gone I will try your way in the shower tomorrow with the hot water pulseing on the area that hurts in the morning.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Goodmorning Everyone;
Sorry it has been 4 days since I posted here on my days.
Well this week I have been averaging about 2.5 miles aday walking.
Yesterday I went over 3.6 miles while cleaning house. I vacumned our Bedroom, Front Room, Small Bedroom, hall and front Bathroom. I still have my Office/Quilting Room to get Cleaned this week. I also turned around the Front Room and then went for a walk. by the time I got back to the house my legs, back and stomach were all hurting.
I didn't wear my step counter for the last few days so I don't know how much distance I walked completely and I don't know how many Calories I burned just from the walking. Today I swept and moped the Kitchen Floor. I also made Brownies and only ate a half of one not bad the rest I put in sandwich bags for Bill's lunches at work.
I am having some problems with the Couch Throw I am making it won't go on the Quilting Frame with out bunching up in the Middle and I can't get it any straighter than it is. Wish me luck.
For Breakfast I had a bowl of Shredded Wheat with Splenda and for lunch I made me a Salad with chicken cut up in it. I used the Dole Salad greens and added tomato and fresh baby spinach with Thousand Island Dressing on top. That was the most filling lunch I have had in awhile.
Well back to the Sewing talk to all later.

Keep on working on the weight and also the quilting. As you know by my photos, I LOVE to quilt. No food is allowed in my quilting room, as I have a mental image of a big smear of chocolate on some applique. Not a good image.
I eat a lot of fresh and steamed veggies. They help with the weight. Put a 'smidge' of sea salt on them for flavor. No frying of anything. I bake, broil, or roast. Oven roasted veggies are sublime. Tonight DH asked for BBQ'd chicken, homemade potato salad (low fat miracle whip), and pickled beets along with baked beans. He is not diabetic, so eats some sweet type items.
He will probably have sherbet for dessert. Me? I will bake an apple, sweetened with a little Splenda and a dash of cinnamon. Yummm
Got my exercise in early, walked the big dogs in the rain and wind.

Well this is not getting the couch throw done so will talk to you all later.

Hello Everyone! I'm Back. Did you miss me?
Well I stepped on the Scale this morning and I am now at a Big 259.0 pounds again and I hate it. The last 6 Months Bill had been laid off and I had to be at his beck and call he actted like so I didn't do so well this last Winter but it will change again now that he is back to work and I have the Days to myself again. All of the kids are now out of the Home. So My reg rutine is back in order. Quilting from 7-Noon and then on here from 1-4 I fix Dinner and when he goes to bed I read, quilt, or get on here again or even watch TV till 9or 10. Then start all over again tomorrow.
I'll post my steps, miles, calories, and BG later this evening.

Well I'm back and now here is all of my numbers for today:
Before Breakfast BG : 106
I made myself two pancakes and only ate about 1/2 of it.
Then I went into Town and first stopped by Wheels on time and looked at two pickups there. I waited till 9:10 and when no one showed up I went down a block to TNT Auto Sales and talked to a salesman didn't like the way he acted and treated me as if I didn't know anything so I went back to the first one they were open by then and she gave me an application and a list of trucks she thought my husband might be interested in. Then I went Grocery Shopping at Save A Lot. From there I went back home and took care of the Groceries I got and sewed on my Glider Top for the rest of the day off and on. All I have left to do is add the 14 sets of ties for it.
Then before Lunch my BG was 252 and I ate a ham sandwich. And finished my 2 glasses of Reg. Lemonade Before Supper my BG was 133 I made fried potatoes, onions with ham chunks and had another glass of lemonade. and then after Supper my BG level is 106 again. Not bad starting with 106 and ending with 106 I am proud of my self today. I see that by takeing my Humalog for a meal dosage my sugar stays down and not shooting up like before lunch as I didn't take any humalog with by Byetta before Breakfast. And I did before Supper tonite. So that is the way I am going to be taking my shots before meals to keep the levels down from now on.
Now for my steps as I have been on the run most of the day my numbers are high for a change.
Steps: 10,694
Miles: 5.063
Calories: 288.7

As soon as I finish this project I will post a picture of it on here tomorrow sometime. Bill has to work again tomorrow so I have all day to quilt and sew to my hearts content. With no one around all day my stress level is dropping and so is my BG levels. Yeah…

I am new to this section. Have fought the weight battle my entire life. Often winning, often in a holding pattern, other times in full retreat. But, amazingly enough, fighting this battle is helping me to lose once again. I did keep 92 lbs off for 20 years, so I know good healthy eating and exercise works. Then regained it and 'friends'.Got back to WW in October and have lost about a pound a week since.
