That's great! My hubby and I have been walking 2-3 miles a day for the past 6 weeks. I have an incredible change in my blood sugar levels but not really losing a lot of weight! My average daily blood sugar went from 180 to 132! I'm just really frustrated by the weight thing. I have improved

my diet although it could be a little better. Any suggestions?

Walking is good exercise as the largest muscle group is the ones in the legs and so walking makes these more efficient and so burns excess energy. This is opposite to leaving your leg muscles remaining idle

I need to come and hang out with you guys! Great job. It's nice when you have a partner. My mom helped my dad a lot when he was diabetic.

I always look forward to your posts msann because you sound so enthusiastic about how walking is helping lower blood sugar levels and decrease the amount of insulin need. You're doing great! ~Lynn @Glucerna

That's wonderful! Proud of you and yours. I have to watch about walking too far or too long. There's more wrong with me than T2B, namely my back. Walking is good cardio and a great way to clear your mind and focus on the day at hand. And it's easy, not to mention you can walk just about ANYWHERE!

Keep up with the good work!!! I wish we had the kind of weather here that allows that! ^5 Congratulations on the weight loss and decrease on meds as that is a BIG plus point! If you need a cheerleader you got one here as I can only wish to do such things and it makes me feel good knowing someone is accomplishing it!
